"You on the other hand build large harvesters and help the competition comepete with you so you say you are doing well thats great but eventually you will run into a situation where the people you sold harvesters to are undercutting you and drive you out of buisness. Since I have never sold a harvester to anyone I can say I have never helped the competition in anything they do."

Sheesh... i cant argue with this... it went through my mind every time i sold.. I shudder to admit it.. but... hes right heh. At least on this point

skexii, thats a good way of looking at it

still, the fun for me isn't looking at the number of credits i have in the bank, its looking down a stretch of beach and saying " I built this stretch of homes"

yea stuff like this has forced me to call into question if i really want to stay architect.. i see more money in being combat. lol and honestly the only thing keeping me from going broke is the fact i am a teras kasi artist. there is no money in this for me lol people SCrewd the market up from the beginning when i tried to sell a small for 20k on chil server, and they told me i killed my credablity with them heh to the people that told me that SCrew you! this game has become far from enjoyable.

So some of you would like to be a merchant and resale my stuff great but If I can crank out between 50 and 100 small houses a day at 4k each how many are you going to buy before you get to the point you cant sell them all in one day? At what point does the number of houses I make exceed your capacity to buy? When I reach that point I have just lowered the entire market price of homes. At the same time all the deeds you sell have my name on them. I get free advertising and you helped keep me in buisness. And just maybe when you get to that magic number where you have more deeds than you can expect to sell I will lower the price again in hopes of making you take a loss on the sell of those houses.

Dumin,

Get off the boards and in game please I want to buy a dozen power cores ..

Why would I sell you power cores? From my understanding they are broken now and I made mine just before the large patch. So I have a nice supply of them and nobody else can make them that means more business for me and less for you. I am all for driving the competition out of the market why would I sell something that would help someone stay in the market?

I sell my stuff for 3.5 credits per resource and get tells like thses all the time. Funny thing is that I have orders everyday too. There is always someone who is going to insist you are ripping them off. If someone does not like my prices they have the option of buying it somewhere else and I polietly tell them so.

It won't last long Dumin. You might be able to churn out lots of units at low prices but it'll slow to a crawl before very much longer. It already has on wanderhome, where demand for pa halls is virtually nill at the moment.

I never castigated those who sold low though. Its their perogative and its not for me to try and dictate to others how to play the game. Personally I have given up architecture and now sell resources as I can make the same money and its far less trouble. I don't have to hunt for 5 different resources now, I just plonk my harvesters on one spot and visit it every other day. Can spend my time doing something fun instead of sweating over final combines and swearing at my factory when it eats my resources

So let me get this straight... You're selling deeds for as little as possible, making less money with 100 lots than I am with 30, why? Because you're already really rich. Okay, I can buy that.

You also say you're refusing to do harvesters, because it provides competition, which would step on your marginal profits.

Why not just stop being an **edit** & worry about driving everyone else out of business, just charge a decent price & enjoy the game?

In your style of play, you have no room for anyone else in your little world. In my style of play, there's plenty of room for many architects to succeed, as well as resource gatherers.

When Arch goes belly up, I'll be the one that enjoyed my time & made friends, and you'll be the one bitter because you failed to control the market.

I agree with many things that have been posted here. I charge 3 credits per unit on all my resources (most others on my server I see selling for 4) and I still can't seem to sell very well. I must admit though, I bought my first house before I made architect for 3.6K credits (yes that is 3600 credits), LOL, found someone in a rush to move.

Dumin,

You know what I think ? I think you are full of it I have been a master architect on Chilastra since week 1. I am a regular participant in all the major markets, including our server board. Your name has never, ever, ever come up. I have run into pretty much every other master arch on the server who is selling a decent amount of stuff but never you. I find it impossible to believe you are doing the business you are advertising with absolutely no notierity.

You have 0 posts in the Chilastra board advertising your wares, and I just talked to 2 of my brethren master architects and no one has heard of you. So go about your chest beating making up large scales of numbers you aren't affecting our business one bit since not a soul has heard of you.

I was in Beta before the game released. I was with Avian during the first week the game came out. Made Master Architect in 6 days. Due to some differences between me and their leader we parted ways. I have since joined ION and we do really well. Normally I do not spend alot of time on the boards but because I came down with Shingles I got my assistant Willee Wonka to manage the harvesters for a few days while I try to recouperate. While I am waiting for my sleeping pills to take effect I figured I would check out and see whats up with all the cry babies that tend to gather in the forums. The ones who cry because they can't drive the market up. while I have fun driving the market down.

Power cores crate in 5's so if you want some I will tell my friend to log me on and you can buy 15 of them but I should charge you a good price for them since nobody else can make them right now and you are the competition. Lets say 50k each soI will give you 15 for 750k.

Ahh but the thing is you aren't driving market pricing down .. no one has heard of you .. in the last hour i've talked to every architect online none of them have run into you as competition. So even IF you are doing the business you are claiming .. you aren't hurting any of us, I sell for 6cr/unit each and every day and have no trouble getting orders.

I'm hoping that Dumin posts a lot more often. I'm adding him to the watched list so I can always know what is the single worst thing that can happen to a game.

He is the perfect example of what will absosulte take all the fun (and the sales) out of any MMOG.

Thank Dumin.
