I'm in agreement. While no one knows for sure yet, I truly doubt they will be craftable. I think it's just going to be a rental thing.

I am very pleased, artesian was the right class to put that in, there will be a LOT of vehicle makers, that will keep the prices low, and I like the garages for repairing them.

All in all very good news.

I like the fact that they are faster then mounts, but not as versatile, they wont follow you and they wont defend themselves.

You should be more specific Mor-Dan is that retarded because its too high? I'm assuming you mean its too low. Too anyone with any common sense 3cpu is a very good baseline price for Architecht items that don't require extensive experimentation ie. Houses, Furniture....

They will be craftable by Artisans in the Engineering Line to start.

The developers now say they are moving the schematics to Master Artisian.... FYI

Makes sense to me, it isnt so much that one vheicle is better than another, they each have advantages and disadvantages.

Artisan's WILL be able to craft vehicles:

2nd page

Like most items in the game, vehicles will be built by engineers who gain access to specific schematics. The early vehicle schematics will be located within the artisan profession, allowing even relatively "young" characters to build landspeeders, speeder bikes, and swoops. The vehicles can then be purchased by other players in-game. When damaged, a vehicle will begin to spout smoke and even catch fire; players will need to visit a garage and pay a few credits to repair their craft.

The lower level vehicles will be in the Artisan tree. This is to give even the newer players access to the basic vehicles.

3cpu IS a good baseline... to price above.

that is my problem with people like Dalyn. you ZERO respect for other people in the game. people like you should be denied access to FSCS at all costs because you are all about you. the STANDARD rate for resources is 3cpu. that means that pricing at 3cpu is basically giving the item away. you don't price items based on what it cost for YOU to get your resources. you price it based on the going rates for the resources you used. that is called an economy (write that down). i had hoped that the people who joined in professions would be people who wanted to help start off these player economies, but it seems the only people who have failed recognized the value of their products are Architects.

a majority of people (non-crafters) in this game make their spending creds by selling resources. good quality ones, or grinding ones, either way, the harvest and sell. now, where do they get the capacity to do this? ARCHITECTS! without an architect, the max they can harvest is with personal mineral extractors made by Artisan's. so, the main source of people's income is sold for 3cpu-4cpu. personals are worthless. they sell for a 1k, max. this price needs to be increased. they need (@4ber) to be around 5k, minimum. mediums? yeah, they are incredibly simple to make, and also yield the highest return. @10ber, mediums should almost be selling at the same price as an old 10ber heavy. a heavy should be considered a luxury item. only those who are serious resource sellers should be able to really afford these machines.

houses. OMG, we must be in a recession. rates on houses in SWG are falling faster than AMR stock prices after 9/11. THESE ARE LUXURY ITEMS, people. they are not meant for EVERYONE to have. there is absolutely no reason to even have a house except to be in a player city now that merchant tents have arrived. prices should reflect that.

i know people hate the Arch -vs- WS comparison, but it is such a good tale a difference in thinking that i have to. on my server, the best scout blaster sells for 10k. this not krayt enhanced, just ostrine enhanced. it takes 101 resources to build a scout blaster. now, i do not suggest we sell havery mineral harvs for 100:1. but is 10:1 really too much to ask? there is WAY too much money in the game right now, and the serious people can easily afford this.

You can't just sell items for whatever you want and say, "well, it didn't cost me anything," or, "i make enough money." IT ISN'T ALL ABOUT YOU! there are non-masters out there who can't sell d!ck b/c 3cpu is the hard line. Dalyn is selling heavy 13ber for 85k, what is a non-master going to sell? houses. that is the only area he can compete. thus, the house market continues to crumble. we need a purging of the selfish in our profession on all servers. we need to show the low-ballers the door and say, "Hey, if you really want to help the game out with low prices, go join the ranks of the weaponsmith and armoursmith." I would love to see gun prices some back down to 10:1, 20:1, and 30:1. but unlike our people, weaponsmiths aren't stupid. they realize that there is a difference between what they make and what a novice makes, and they charge accordingly. we don't. we have people like Dalyn on every server who sell their best for very little like they are on some crusade to save the population of SWG. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU WHO SELL FOR 3CPU! you are contributing to an unstabilized economy. you do not deserve that master title next to your name. you are an amateur.

Ok Mor-dan,

#1. After reading through your post of ranting, raving, pissing, and moaning, I've come to the realization that Dalyn isn't the one who is being selfish...it is YOU. Just because Dalyn knows how to run a business it doesn't mean that he (or she) is being selfish. Any person with any hint of business knowledge knows that the consumer looks to get the most bang for their buck, and if Dalyn can get by with selling a "13ber heavy harv" than that is where people are going to go to get their heavy harvs. If you can't afford to sell your goods at that price, than you shouldn't be in business. In the business world it's "Roll with the pack or get left behind." Now this is just a game, and not a real life business, but the same rules that apply to a real life business apply here. I'm sure you know that prices are based on supply and demand. There are more harvs in each galaxy than I care to count, so therefore the selling price will not be that high. The same holds true for houses. Let me remind you that you DO NOT set the prices for items sold in this game. Just because you think Dalyn is selling stuff at too low a price, it doesn't mean that he (or she) is. If you think it's unfair than you don't have to be an architect. If you think armorsmiths and weaponsmiths make more money than become one of them. Quit your immature whining and ruining this game for other people.

#2. In case you didn't read the subject of this thread, it's "Re: who will be able to make vehicles?" Instead of coming here to find out info about this subject, I end up reading through your post which has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the topic. Next time put your whining someplace else, and don't have a case of diarrhea of the mouth in the middle of a forum where it doesn't belong. Thanks for wasting my time.
