I'd like to know specifically if SOE has stated if limited use schematics are definitely not meant to be made into manufacturing schematics. It kind if matters doesn't it? It sets the right expectations for us so we know a bug when we see one. If we keep getting schematics with an option to make a manufacturing schematic then it really doesn't give us a clear message that we shouldn't be making manufacturing schematics out of them. And if we know its broken from the start then we will be happy when the 'fix' it instead of all of us getting mad because they 'nerfed' it.

Well If you like I will get permission to say.. But I dont think you need me to do that.. Since this fix kind of shows you some insight.

I have been pushing and pushing (as well as others ) for loot to come in form of limited use schematics. and not the finished good. Which I think you all agree is the way to go. Factory runs being done on the Schematics Defeats the purpose of having it be loot.. Why not be a permenate addition to our craftable list. And.. One Use Schematics ( Unless something Extremely Big. ( IE High End Weapon )) defeats the purpose of keeping the Crafter Involved and needing Schematics..

What needs to be done is the limited uses bumped up to 5 - 10 max.. this will give the crafter an opportunity to provide decent stock of these items.. and not just be an inconveniance to the looter to get their loot..

Yeah, I mean - what exactly is the benefit to us by building these items for people? Aside from being taken advantage of?

Again, not true. The live notes and feedback thread by Tiggs (found here http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=in_live&message.id=40318 specifically mentioned this, "Fixed an issue where players were able to make manufacturing schematics for any of the items given out in loot phase 1."

Yes, it is true. What I copied was right off of this post:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Announcements&message.id=378#M378

Read it yourself. It's under Announcements. In that post there is NO mention of the schematic change.

Okay, so they didn't include it in the announcements section, but they did in the In Live section...it's a moot point. They still nerfed it.

Agreed. It's an unfortunate turn of events.

What will be the point of these schematics if they're nerfed to one use? We (the Architects) will be reluctant to make them in the first place as they'll be difficult and/or expensive to obtainand then few players will bother to get them as they know it'll be a pain finding someone willing to make them in the first place let alone do it for a decent price.

That said, I'm glad I've got a sizeable stock of the older Bestine paintings. The price of those will go through the roof.

Funny I am having no trouble making the items. I have run factory crates of the table and couch. I have made the Tanned hide and most others.

Not sure whats going on with your stuff. Turn in trouble ticket.

Everybody loves loot! Star Wars Galaxies is enhancing the loot system to make it more fun and exciting. With this publish, players will find all sorts of new goodies.

.... and all sorts of new loot surprises (30 new craftables!)

iam an archtect, merchant and politician. i love loot. iam a player. but all of the loot is for the fighters. i was happy to see that there are schematics for archtects. that was my loot.

i 'looted' it from the bazar for 6k (both tanned hides, both consoles, the tapestry and the blue couch) or bought it from players (cafe table and cabinet). being an architect means to me that i provide other players with nice furniture and decoration items for their homes for reasonable prices. so i made factory schematics of the new loot schematics, 500 uses for the ones that needed hides and 1000 uses for the ones without hides.

i sold them for affordable prices and not like 50k or more that others sold them. my customers were really happy to find new nice stuff and wrote me mails how they like that and sended me tells, that feedback made me happy. thats itwhat makes me play architect, not the look on my bank account.

now with todays patch i removed every new item from my vendors. i dont want to get sold out from people that resell my items in some weeks when they start to get rare. it makes me sad that i had to do that.

there is enough high end loot stuff out there that makes the lootcampers rich, like the av powerplant or finished lootkits or adhesives. there are questitems that sell for millions that only the lucky ones got (seans rug or the imp banner). thereare themepark rewards that sell for many 100k and other rewards like the kraytskull or the endor painting.

why has a simple couch, that stands in every second starport or npc building in dozens, to be an almost unaffordable item for only the money elite on the server? a couch that normally had to be in every architects regular schematics. or the missing master cabinet? shouldnt we get this as a regular schematic?

I dont think anyone who is responsable in any function at soe will ever read this posting but all others who do should know that i dont like this patch. its a sad day for me and every architect that only wants to provide anyone with affordable nice furniture.

I will NEVER - repeat, NEVER - use one of these schematics for anyone else. EVER. I refuse to contribute my skills so that someone else can make MILLIONS. I won't do it, too many already do, and I'm tired of the profiteering.

I guess I'm just posting this to say - I'm pissed that we got treated this way. And I, for one, will NOT contribute to INSANELY priced loot - regardless of how much the Devs want that to perpetually exist in this game.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Hmmm system wide architect strike? Who is with me??

I'm in - this is infuriating!

Dvnce,

What I would really LIKE is for SOE to openly communicate to us about these things. Or if they are going to have a correspondent who's job it is to handle talking to us lowlifes that pay their bills then maybe they could at least give you some lattitude to actually tell us something solid once in a while??

We can assume all we want. But since the schematics let us do it then we have no reason to believe we shouldn't be able to do it. Is it a bug or a design feature??? WE don't know for sure and can't know for sure unless they TELL US.

Key reason I'm intrested in getting a SOLID and EXPLICIT answer from SOE on this topic is so our expectations are right in the future. And...

Should we expect Bestine paintings to be 'fixed' in a similar way?

p.s. if I sound like I'm mad at you then thats just cause I'm mad and youre standing in between me and what my anger is pointed at.

I'm not an arch but I am a full time crafter. I was reading about the loot schematics in my galaxy forum. There is a link to this thread there. I couldn't help but ask the intent of a one time use for a schematic that makes a couch.

One thing I would ask myself when buying furniture keeping these three things in mind: they don't kill anything or help keep me alive, they can't harvest anything that will help me craft product, and they take up my inventory space. So, I would ask myself when viewing your vendor, do I need a couch that costs 100K or more? Do I need a poster that costs 2 million credits? Besides, how often do I spend time sitting in my house admiring my paintings?

Again, what is served by making looted furniture schematics one use only and uber rare? The mindset of the developers boggles me sometimes.
