The Current Painting:
10K for the small paintings.
15k for the large paintings.
The old paintings get a nice 50% increase.
Rounded up to a nice figure

I sell em for 7k a piece. I do a 100 unit run of a schematic for the first use and hold the second use for later. I will add cost to the older ones. 2 months old probably to 10 then every month another 5k.
whoever said they do 500 unit runs up there in this thread ... where in gods green earth are you getting enough hides to do that ?
43k stacks of hide are REAL hard to come by on my server!

Current paintings I sell for 15k. As they get older I have been bumping up the price, 17.5k, 20k....
I imagine the first ones to hit the server may be getting in short supply by now. I hope when JTL comes out and we get a large influx of fresh blood to really jack the price on the old ones.
I imagine some folks have mutliple copies of the schematic in their bank vault though, so they may never get rare.

I sell them for 16k. If I recall right, I figured once that I make about 400k a month average off of them. So thats 25 paintings sold and almost all profit.
The going prices on your own server does matter a lot. If the bazaar is flooded with them for 1k each or if every other vendor you check has them for 5k then that is going to drive down what you can charge.
However I think that paintings are one item in particular that we can charge more than the cheaper folks and still sell well enough. As long as you have a vendor setup I think you'll get enough drop in customers who won't mind knowingly paying an extra 5-10k for a painting if they want it. Even if they are on the bazaar for 1k, there are lots of people who never visit the bazaar anymore because there just isn't anything much there that matches their gaming level. And there are plenty of people who are wealthy enough that they'd rather just pay an extra 5-10k than bother taking the time to check even one other vendor.
I also think the market for paintings is pretty limited, but the people who do want them are willing to pay for them. So the market could bear a higher price if we charged it.
This is my problem. The (cursed) bazaar means I have to compete with people that invest no skill points in my profession (Architect OR Merchant). They make the paintings somewhere and sell them on the bazaar for 1K.
I sell them for 4K at the largest city on Dantooine with my furniture. Figure it's competitive and people seem to buy them.

I've seen them on my server (Intrepid) from 25k up to 150k. And they sell. Of course, our server is apparently one of the more expensive ones from what I hear.

Depends on the painting...but usually I go by:
10K per painting
50K for a Crate of 5
90K for a Crate of 10
130K for a crate of 15
I sell tons of 15 Crates....I guess a lot of people want to resell them on their vendors and appreciate the bulk discount...
I mainly stick with 10K per painting because that is the average price on my server (I don't like underselling people)...I occasionally mark older paintings up if they had a high resource cost...

I sell all the Bestine Paintings for 3,999 credits (Intrepid). Cant really see selling them for much more than that.

Ok, I just stumbled onto this thread (dont ask how, im a BH). I have a question about paintings. I hear some people mentioning older paintings and charging more. Are the older paintings unable to be made anymore for some reason? Im just curious as to why one painting would be worth more then another.

The schematics for the older paintings are no longer available. And the schematics are limited use. So once we've used up the schematics we bought several months ago then we won't be able to make any more.

It depends on what server you are on. Each server gets different paintings. Krayt skeleton might be the newest or the oldest for your server.

Do they recycle the schematics or once the schematics are gone then the schematic is removed from the server never to be seen again?
