Cool thanks. I take it this is in a FAQ somewhere? Is there a command to open the Harvester conrol panel to change resources, and turn it on?

I think I found the command to choose resources: /harvesterSelectResource

Just go in game and type /harvester then tab and you'll get a list of commands. Woot!

Also, did you know there's an in-game notepad? It's pretty convenient for keeping little notes to yourself. Just type /notepad

Is there a size limit on notepad??? Last night I tried to make another string in mine and it kept just eating text and not adding anything. So now, my notepad is basically a storage for old text strings and I can add nothing new it seems. Is there a notepad 2 or something?

I'll add those commands to the FAQ. Thanks, I've been looking for those.

I can't get /harvesterSelectResource to work though. Is there a trick to that? Tab complete doesn't work for me, is that a non-default keymap option?

I would be that the Notepad has a character limit same as email messages do.

I haven't actually tried /harvesterSelectResource, I just went in game and looked for /harvester* commands and saw it....I'll test it tonight.Tab complete has always just worked for me. I dont' think I've binded it to anything special either....it still cycles through people and creatures too.

I got these from QwigShot

Naming the Harvesters

  • /Name <The Name Of My Harvester> Without the < >'s

Setting Admins on the Harvesters

  • /setPermission <Admin|Hopper> <player> Without the <>'s or the |
  • Example below this line
  • /setpermission Admin personsnamehere;
    /pause 1;
    /setpermissionHopper personsnamehere;

Adding Power & Maintainance, Where x = the amount needed

  • /addpower xxxx;
    /pause 1;
    /paymaint xxxx

Getting Structure Status

  • /structurestatus

You can combine multiple variations to achieve what works best for you, I personally set the harvester & then Add My Admins & name the structure with one, Then I check status & then add power if needed, then I Manually select the resource I want to get, Then I turn it on, There is a command to turn them on & off but You get no Confirmation of the action so its usless to use this since You still should verify that its on or off Manually anyways unless You have the menu up to see it turn on or off,

  • /harvesterActivate
  • /harvesterDeactivate

All of these must have the Harvester seleceted Prior to using the macro, If the harvester Isnt selecetd it will use on the Last Harvester selecetd if close enough, If not You will get an error saying Your not close enough.

My personal macro for just after placing the harvester is:

  • /setpermission Admin personsnamehere;
    /pause 1;
  • /setpermission Admin personsnamehere;
    /pause 1;
  • /setpermission Admin personsnamehere;
    /pause 1;
  • /setpermission Admin personsnamehere;
    /pause 1;
  • /Name <The Name Of My Harvester, I usually name it My shops name & location>
  • /pause 1;
  • /structurestatus

I then do any maintainance needed & then manually select the resource & then turn it on via:

  • /harvesterActivate

Hope these help & Hope somone has what I need!!

p.s. If You see a letter Capitolised, It needs to be Capitolised on the Macro!

Here are the harvester commands. There are no commands that I'm aware of for opening the hopper, removing resources from the hopper, or selecting resources.

# /stru - Show status of harvester
# /pay xx - Add Maintenance
# /addp xx - Add xx Power - Leave off amount for dialog
# /setPermission [admin][hopper] name - add name as either admin or hopper/or remove if already on list
# /harvesterDeactivate - turn off harvester
# /harvesterActivate - turn on harvester

=====================

Some folks have suggested the following sequence to turn the harvester off, on, and then opening the status screen. I've experienced a few anomolies and apparently other folks have also, so I do NOT use this:

/harvesterDeactivate;
/pause 3;
/harvesterActivate;
/pause 3;
/stru;

==========================

I use these in two ways. I have a macro that does the following, to use on initial setup:

/name \#500040\Zalle Enterprises\#.
/setpermission admin Tendra
/paymaint 21600
/addpower 18000

This names it, including a custom color. It puts my wife's character on the admin list, and it puts 10 days of maint and power into it.

====================================

I then set up two macros, each bound to a function key, to put in one day of maint and one day of power, respectively.

So I have:

HARV_MAINT: /paymaint 2160

HARV_POWER: /addpower 1800

When I'm servicing my harvesters I look at their status and see something like "maint - 5 days and X hours" and "power - 6 days and Y hours". I just ignore the hours, and hit the appropriate function keys to bring everything back up to 10 days. So in this case I'd hit the HARV_MAINT button 5 times and the HARV_POWER button 4 times. It saves having to think about the actual amounts - I just want them always to have 10 days maint and power when I walk away.

Good info Zen.

Here is another command I discovered:

/destroystructure

Just issue the command with the harvester targetted and it will initiate the prompts to enter the confirmation code to redeed.

When I look at my original post, I notice the following line as the second line in the post:
