Thread: Furniture items that are in game that architects should get (please add to list)
scanner idea is a really good idea. But instead of limiting useage limit how many schmatics you can hold. Higher you go, the more you can hold. Also require the scans to be from npcs created furniture. Otherwise people would just scan, make one item, and drop it in house, and scan when they need it.
Would be cool, because there would be really rare stuff that only exisits in one place in all the planets.
The database cant handle more items people.. They already had to nerf mellons, drops, house capacity. You think they are goning to ADD something?? BWUAHAHAHA
I would love more stuff to sell but lets face it, facts are facts..
Quite a few of these items such as banks and mission terminals are already planned on for the urban planner elite skill tree.
And there are a few items you can only get from faction points
I would like to see different types of plants though, we have a small potted plant style 1 and a large potted tree style 1 so where are the other styles?
Iwould like a jacuzzi if possible ![]()
How about some type of TV or holo projector ![]()
Some of the cafe tables have umbrellas in the outside cafes near the cantinas, would be nice to get a few of those
How about a hover chair? We have sofa chairs which are the best in the game IMO, the PA hall chairs are too rigid looking and SMALL and the rest of the chairs are too plain (cant wait for the ability to color them) and they need to get rid of one of the types of metal chairs or square chairs, they are the same IMO
How about a gun rack?
Dressers for the bedroom? Nightstands?
Bunkbeds?
Weapons racks (remember in EP4 in the control room there were racks for the blasters to go on)
What about bigger terminals similar to in the imperial outposts in the control towers
Holonet terminals? Similar to phones etc??
Desks? For a study
Home computers ![]()
Stereo system
Rugs
I could come up with more, would be nice if there was some functionality with some of these items for people to actually need/want them more so we have an active and sustained economy for architects
1. Business related furnitures: bar counters, bar stools, office desk, office chair, etc.
2. Entertainment related furnitures: Television (or whatever you call it, holographic projector), various type of in-door entertainment game piece that can actually be a mini-game by itself.
3. Decorative furniture: carpets, rugs, paintings, sclptures, fountains, MORE plants
oohh functional Stereo ... yeah I'd love one of these in my home.
Put a section in the Controlpanel to let you map a folder on your HD that has mp3's in it.
And then have a menu selection on the stereo...

i definitely like the coloring furniture idea, but lets add to that and make it a prof on it's own? requirement furniture 4 + construction 4? Interior Designer profession to counter balance the city planner prof. i agree that there are far too many architects per server right now, and if city planner does go ahead, really there'll be only need for a handful of city planners in each galaxy, and since each city planner will already be a "master of the architect profession", they'll still be able to do everything a master architect can do, so if we add to the archi trees, it won't solve the problem of too many archis, so why not rather have an additional prof that's dedicated to furniture styles and colors? it's a great money sink (as since i'm only lv 1 furniture and there already are so many nice customers gobbling up all my furniture from my vendors), and to be able to color coordinate your furniture with your wardrobe? that would be very cool indeed, albeit not necessary, but then, when u have money to spare, who cares about necessity?
4 Branches? how about:
Furnishings: actual furniture, chairs, tables, etc..
Electronics: stereos, holographic projectors, etc..
Decorations: wall art, rugs, many non-functional items. (can also decorate outdoors alongside city planners during say.....festivals, events)
Gardening: plants, flowers, etc... some possibly able to hang outside your building on 'faux' windowsills, etc..
Furnishings will have the assembly increases
Decorations will have the experimentation increases
i really don't want an even more crowded archi environment to work with. as of yet, on Flurry, generic resource price is about 3:1 ratio (3 creds per unit), and many archi's are subjected to 3:1 ratio or lower to be able to sell their non-furniture goods, like deeds for small/medium houses or medium installations (famous master archi's like Nol aside).
most of the ideas are taken from others in this thread. thx, great ideas. hope u guys like this one too, and it's not as skill pt costly as u'd think since only 1 or 2 archi lines will be needed to get novice Interior Designer, rather than master the entire archi tree, leaving way enough points to get some weapon/scouting skills for the hide harvesting.
related idea: how about remaking the "miner" prof into another archi elite prof? one that requires installation 4 + something else to get to? which will power up the current capabilities of harvesters and factories? one that can incorporate the idea of 'decay' into houses and possibly even decay/maintenance of player city constructions like banks, cantinas, bridges, roads, etc? a Civil Engineer? (i really haven't thought this one thru, just came from top of my head as i was writing up the Interior Designer class)
perhaps they'll be able to 'decorate towns' whereas the City Planner decides how roads will be lined up. Civil Engineers can build bridges for CP's to place, a LOT more interaction than what current crafting professions have with each other. all archis do now are craft stations and tools for other crafters (DE, WS, AS, Med, Scout/Rangers, BE). and between the rest of them there are practically no interaction. can't make med poison to 'upgrade' a T21 with, can't make weapon/armor for droids or a bantha mounted cannon. so far so bored. no interaction. i know it's off the furniture topic but i just want to write some observations i've seen of how much archis can do. really not a lot for the game right now. btw, archi + CH? you know how there are large variations for saddles and seats for elephants in Thailand? well, bantha, ronto, bolle-bols are sort of like elephants. i wouldn't mind seeing this herd of bantha's with towed/saddled mini-houses on them, sorta like a travelling caravan/circus type deal. one that cannot be put in inventory and hidden for your comfort, but will carry a TON of stuff to smuggle/trade between cities or even planets.
bleh, wrote too much already and that's just off the top of my head.
(oh ya, Devs, let us color furniture. plz)
