I did all of my grinding on walls and didnt start using the factory untill the schematics called for it.

The furniture tree is for combines and helps against crits imho, and construction gives points to experamint with, but houses don't benifit from them yet only harvesters.

I got harvesters to 3, then houses to 3, then furniture to 4, capped harvs and houses at 4, then worked on construction. I was able to do this because I have a 2nd account that finances my crafter char and didn't have to worry about selling anything to survive.

On a side note, I make a constant flow of money from power-ups, and think they might help you along as a staple for bringing in money. A powerup usses 6 metal and 4 chem to make, so a crate has 60-40 units for a total of 100 resources. These sell for 1500 to 3k for 32+ max dmg 16 min dmg crates... thats 15 to 30 cpu to help you along the way. I sell out in 1/2 a day on the bazzars at 1k a crate.

Hello, I'm just starting out going up the archtect line, no I'm not a holo chaser..just seems likefun. I also plan to go master merchant, my question is, how do you decide on what you charge for each item that that you sell? This is my first crafting profession, so i wasnt sure, i dont want to rip people off, nor do i want to undersell either. Any help would be greatly apprciated.

Charge what people will pay. I know that a lot of my stuff is pretty overpriced (I mean, I'm charging 1k per lamp, that sort of thing), but the people in my area pay me. Probably because the only ones buying are in my guild (dang remote Talus :/), but hey, I'm not complaining :/

My general starting point (I know I know, some archs think this is a bad system, but this is my base ) is around 4-5cpu for what was made (assuming I myself harvested the resources, which now that I'm decently established is happening), and from there I make it a nice round number (like if something came to 53245, I might round it down to 50000 or possibly to 55k). Custom orders generally I round down, while vendor stuff I round up.

Just a few ideas. Welcome to the wide world of architecture, learn to love harvesters and factories (I still hate mine lol)

I think you need to decide what kind of architect you'll be...will you specialize in houses, harvesters, furniture or a little of everything. I typically charge 4x the volume of resources that go into a given item...3cpu for the resource and 1 cpu for my time. This changes, though, based on the item. For example, a master chair may only take 250 units of copper and 8 synthetic cloths, but I charge 3,000 for it simply because it needs more scarce resources to make and is of much higher quality and in demand. I also do structures on a custom order basis, which is really taking off. On average, I net about 150k per day (after maintenace and scarce resource purchases). Charge what you think is fair for both the product and your time in creating it...also keep in mind the scarcity of the item, its uniqueness and player demand. Different servers charge different amounts due to varying economic conditions...an item on Bloodfin may go for 5k, while the EXACT same item on Starsider may go for 2k - both may be great deals - just depends on the given economy. I deal in volume, therefore my prices are lower. One other thing to keep in mind - don't half-ass your vendors. That is, keep them stocked and people will keep coming back.

I didn't check there because I never have been and never will be a holo-grinder. In any case, I found what I needed. We can close this thread now, thanks.

People assume you want a macro because you're hologrinding. This isn't always the case.

Take me today, I needed to make 120 Structural modules for some factories I was making as a x-x-1-1 Novice. So I used the 'hologrinder' macro, took out the No Prototype bit and used it just to cut down on the clicks needed.

Sure I could have set up a factory, but I didn't want to as it was a good way to get a little (60k) XP and get the items I needed to make some factories. And still, 120 bricks later, my finger was still aching from all the clicking.

Besides, I've never even seen a Holocron...

Hey all,

I decided earlier this week to begin architect as a profession, thought it would be some fun, make some money and have something to show out of all the crafting. Its been progressing, slowly at first (then I found Gungan Heads!) but now seems to have picked up some.

My question, in two parts, relates to the charging of items. Quite a lot of the stuff I can find by visiting other stores and taking note of their prices, however, some members of the guild have told friends who've told friends that I am doing Architect and I now find I am asked to craft Cantina's, Hospitals, Banks, etc etc. The only thing is, I can't find anyone with a vendor with these items on it, so I have NO idea what to charge. Some of my customers have asked how much they will be paying and I've told them I'll come back to them!!!

I've scoured the internet looking for a site that will list the big structures and their rough prices (obviously server dependant) but there are none that I can find. I also downloaded an Architect Calculator... now it may be just me, but I haven't a clue where to start!! Enter your price per CPU? No clue.. I mine all my own resources. It said a default of 4, but I can't see anywhere on that sheet that says "Sell it for this much" and I really really need it to be THAT simple for me.

If anyone can a) Give me an idea of prices for some of the town structures or b) let me know if a website exists that may give me an idea for these prices (been to swgcraft and starwarsgalaxiesonline) and/or c) give me a step by step on what that spreadsheet is trying to tell me, I would appreciate it no end!!!

Thanks in advance
