There is a link to a calculator spreadsheet in the FAQ. It has a page that you can put in a materials CPU rate and profit % and it will give you a price list. I'd recommend only using that kind of cpu pricing as a starting point and then modifying prices some based on market demand.

Thanks, I see the price list, just complete those 2 boxes at the top and thats it? How do I know what my CPU is? I mine all my own materials, any recommendations?

What about these other tabs.. what do they do. I played with then, for instance the Small House... it says in the yellow column "Enter Qty of Resources". Does that mean ALL resources? I played with it, I put a 1 in there and it put an 18 in chemical... whats that all about? Sorry about the questions, but I really dont understand what its trying to tell me.

The Bazzar.......people with loads of resources on their vendors??? I am on bloodfin, being an architect. Buy or build, some Harvesters. PME, PMC's until you can get the Heavy Mining installations. I have about 50k of every resource I need and I am pretty good w/ resources till about 3/3/3/3. ask around on your server for people who have resources for sale.

First and foremost I would get some harvesters down as soon as you can. I'm guessing you have money since you are willing to buy harvesters, so I would buy a nice fleet of BER10's if you want to stay on the cheap side and get those down pronto. Then if you are still in need of resources, I would post in your galaxy trade forums with a "WTB Architect grind steel and ore" or something to that affect.

I would agree with Garrac, get some nice BER10's also don't forget to at least pick up some Solar Power generators, but i would recommend 3-4 Fusion-Ion Generators.

Well for houses all you need is some basic ore, steel, and chemicals I believe. Anyway, what I do is I bought 13 mineral harvesters. I got a good deal so I have 5 BER 13's, 2 BER 12's, and 6 BER 10's. I also have 2 Fusion-Ion Generators to harvest power. I actually find grinding architect fun myself. I like to build the components and then the houses and everything. Now that the lot requirements have been reduced you should be able to place at least 5 harvesters by yourself and then have a friend or someone else who doesn't need all their lots to help place the rest. If say you had 10 BER 10 harvesters I would place 6 on ore, 2-4 on steel, and any extras on something else you need. Just go around and buy a small amound of chemicals on a vendor or even on the bazaar. Hope that helps you.

I to really enjoyed the architect grind. Not once did I make something just to get xp like the gungan head statue. That just seemed so silly to me given the fact that architect might be one of the only crafting professions where you can stock a vendor as you work your way up the tree because you dont need experimentation on everything. I think by the time I was master I had fully stocked furniture, housing and factory vendors for about a week. The only down side was the mass amount of resources that you need to get through it. Luckily my alt was a ranger and had made a decent living on hunting and was able to fund my architects harvester fleet.

Yeah, no kidding. I have access to I think 19 lots for harvesters, 10 are always ore and4 are always crap steel and the other5 float between lubricating oil, gasesaluminum and copper. Every once in a while if a good spawn of something comes up I deviate from that, but I would say 75% of the time that's what I have going.

Oh, and that doesnt countthe 6 lots dedicated to myshop, 2 structure factories and 2 Fushion Generators.

How anyone with 1 accountdoes this profession I will never know.

I do fine with one account, but I need help from others.

I have 3 cross server lot trades that consist of 25 minerals and 5 Fusions. I have friend that is holding my 2 factories, and I have 6 lots left over that I use to place Harvs on Specific resourcesm namely Gas and chemical.

I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my 30 static harvs, I go through on average 1 million untils of Ore per week.

Maint on these run me about 1.5 mil per month, and the fusions supply enough power to run them plus I usually have extra left over to sell.

Hello all

As a soon-to-be new architect, and new crafter* in general I have a nooby question.

Skill Tapes... Are they of any real use to an architect? I see AS, WS, Chefs and Artisans running around in their +2 suits, but not many architects. Is that due to the skill tapes not dropping very often, or just that they don't really serve much purpose?

Thanks for the help

* I have crafted camps and traps... but I don't think that counts as crafting really
