I just bought novice architect today after getting master artisan already. I thought that was an accomplishment that ate many resources, but sweet mother of god this is going to be a long haul to master! I just hope it's worth it! From the looks of things, the only thing I have a prayer of making at the moment resource wise is small houses... what's a good price range on those?

If you're going to piece together a house by yourself, try and get at least 10-12k for it. That'll put you at a 3.5 credit per unit resource rate, which is pretty good all things compared.

If you can find a surveyor to partner up with, see if he can match or better your resource rates to help keep you stocked. Stay away from bazaar sales (selling at 6-10 cred/unit).

Note that suggested prices may vary on your server; I'm on Bria for example.

Either today or tomorrow i will have enough points to be a novice architect. Now after time i will want to master it. But right now i want to go down the road that i will make the most money on... so that i can buy, make or fix a house up of my own. So can anyone tell me what is more profitable? Furniture ,Installations, or buildings?

The way I didit, was to mine as much ore as possible and to just make structural modules, until I can make walls. Then make walls, and then build a few small houses and then sell those. But the key to grinding is to enjoy yourself while your being an architect, else it gets very tedious to build those 30 structural modules to build that factory for someone. Assuming you don't have a factory, which you probably wont need until you build larger houses and more complicated harvesters.

I havnt made small houses in eons but if my memory serves right, you dont need a wall in small house?? Anyways, I went up the harvester route cuz the house market is screwed and retarded and there is no point in competing in it imo. I have never sold a medium or large house.

Building walls and building small houses are not interrelated in therelation thatyou need one for the other.

Building walls and building small houses are interrelated in the relation that these are good methods to grind to the first tier skills of a novice architect.

You won't be getting medium harvesters till installations 3. And before you even get to the point where you are able to solo harvest enough such that making mediums is no deal, you will undoubtedly need walls. Afterall, your going to be probably using personal harvesters which are not that efficient. With my strategy your in essence killing two birds with one stone. First, your getting good grind xp. Second, your creating components you will later use to build structures that most non-architects will probably buy from you.

I am not a master, but here it goes anyways:

Find a master architect on your server tha twill take you as an apprentice to make walls for him/her.

Yes, it would behoove you have a factory.

As far as skill tree....well, most go for harvesters first. Construction supposed to minimize crit fails. After those two it becomes a matter of what you think will sell best where you are at.

Walls give best xp, specially if you can sell them to a Master, or keep for later as you WILL need them. If you have unlimited resources for grinding, grind crafting stations in practice mode.
