Thread: How to stop Crit Failures

i have been using this for about 4 weeks now, i knew some one would ruin it and post it some day... now that i dont play on my arch anymore due to its im possable to sell a PA for a decent price...i retired
yes it does work, but no experimentation, oh too bad experimenting dont matter with structures!
lol
Ya, now that you are not an architect anymore you figure you want to screw it up for the rest of us.. nice... I have still crit failed with the macro. You still take a large risk using it.
Also, xybex, what where you thinking when you posted this?*dufus voice* "Im going to be helpful, people will be happy wit me"
If the macro was an exploit the devs read your post and fix it..... hmmmmmm good thinking "d00d"
Personally and exploit to me is generating some thing that is not native to the game to produce or falsly acheive some thing. Resource dupping is an exploit. Macroing using the tools the dev's gave us and even advertise in game is not an exploit.

Correct me if I am wrong, but critical failures ARE part of the game. Would flawlessly creating every object you create be falsy achieving something?
I am all for using macros to simplify processes, but to use a macro simply to bypass critical failures would seem to be a kind of dirty trick at the very least, if not an exploit.

Actually, this doesn't completely stop CFs. It merely gives you a second try after a CF. And it is not an exploit since it has been mentioned that you would be able to recover your material after a CF, which is also why we are the only trade to have material remain in the crafting tool after a CF (so the trick only works for architects).

About 3 or 4 weeks ago I posted this in the main forum and in this forum. I was sent away with much ridicule and back talk. I tried to inform the masses of this wonderful macro and its ability to SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the amout of critical failures received when crafting any item. Please be prepared to have people think you are daft for thinking this will help your failure rate. I eventually decided to just let them fail while I have gone that entire 3-4 weeks with a total of, Are you ready?- 1 failure on item creation. And that was a wall module. This is after 150-200 wall modules and countless heavy harvesters, houses, and 1 pa hall.

What happens when you crit on any other item in the game except structures? You LOSE your resources. This macro intentionally goes around this result of a crit fail acclowing you touse your resources that should have bee destroyed.
Maybe a thin line, but playing devils advocate, if you use this macro every time you craft and never crit fail with the resources left in the screen then you "could" state that you are using the macro legally.
Bottom line imo it is just like afk surveying. That was called an exploit by just about everyone under the sun (except the devs and those that were using it) and they "fixed" it so you can no longer afk macro efficiently enough to make it worth it. This will be a moot point as soon as they fix the crit fails on structures so that the resources are destroyed.
Bah.. stupid laptop mouse...
Until they fix it I would consider it use it at your own risk. The dev's might just call it an exploit and take action, or they might do nothing...
Then just use this before you even hit assembly, it still ends up not letting you experiment but there is no chacne for fail.
The reason some things are called exploits by people other than the Devs and those using it is due to one thing.
ANYTHING someone doesn't like, they call it an exploit.
ANYTHING someone can't do that someone else can, they call it an exploit.
ANYTIME someone figures out a way to use the tools given to them by the Dev team in a creative way, they call it an exploit.
PLAYERS call things exploits that aren't even close to being an exploit.
AFK sampling is NOT an exploit. They are using the tools given to them by the Dev Team. Just because they are not using them the way YOU think they should, that doesn't make it an exploit.
People are so stupid and arrogant to think that only THEY know exactly how things should be played and if you don't play the way THEY think you should, then you are exploiting.
It's quite simple really. If the Dev Team don't like the way something is being done by the tools they have given them, then they can change it but, to go around and calling someone an exploiter because they were creative in using the tools the Dev Team gave them is just plain out stupid.
People really need to learn the TRUE meaning of an exploit in games and stop being so stupid as to go around hollering people are exploiting simply because they don't like what someone is doing.
BTW, yes, this macro can still allow you to crit. I finally did tonight.
Also, this same exact macro also has crits on making stimpacks, etc. too
