20k for a dx2 carbine that will decay next week.19k profit.
5k for a small house that will never decay..... no profit

Who is the smart one?
Personally I think anyone that remains an architect is a blithering idiot.
Pick another profession and have fun for a change.

What you waiting on Urban planner? Grinding up the tree so to get become an Urban Planner?
Go back to reading or watching movies.. Its a fairy tale. Only elite, large PA's will be making cities.
There will again be no profit in it. Only Master Archietecs in those PA's will be building anything. Only for the Mayor to place.. WOW. Loads of fun for the architect......

Stay an architect... learn to live with disapointment..

Dayln, If you are on Bria, contact me and I will buy 6 of your 90k heavy mineral harvesters. It will save me the time that I would spend on makeing them and let me focus on keeping my tailor vendors stocked.

Upgrading to what? Mediums? You're not high enough to make much to upgrade to. Yet again, you have no idea what you're blathering about. People go to you because you sell for peanuts, no other reason. It's not cause you're nice, or they like your hair. You're still ruining the profession, get a freaking clue.

Oh yes, again with the random % profit margin BS. 2 CP/R is zero profit, I don't care where you pull your numbers from. Haven't you even come close to what every other architect on these forums is telling you? YOUR BUSINESS SENSE IS HORRIBLE! You have no basis for your "business sense", you have no idea what you're doing. You're just undercutting, there's nothing special about that. If you're not afraid of competition, why don't you change your techniques? Try selling at 4 CP/R and telling about how good your harvs are experimented on. Add some power and starting maint in your harvs. Make them special. Throwing your structures at people for close to free isn't intelligent at all, and when you have to start running missions to pay the maintenence, you'll look back and say "Man, I was a tard, wasn't I?"

Dayln, I can't help but flame you, you're so easy to pick apart.

First off Viper

I can make Small, Medium and Large hosues, I am also now making Heavyextractors. Many of my customers that bought smaller units from me are now buying larger units. I will be master archetect before the end of the week.

You think helping customers is not what what business is about,? Then I would guess you are not in busienss in the real world. I care very much about my busiiness, and that is indeed why I sell for less, because I gain market share among my customers and their friends.

I sell for less than most archicetcs, but not all. My prices generally run around 3 cr per resource unit. Now that my resource rates are falling well below .5 per unit ( currently .46 jsut checked ) and re-deeding and other overhead is less expensive for the same number of resources with the heavies. I feel I am poised to compete at less than 3cr per unit when I need too.

So far there is no need, I have a steady supply of customers at my current prices while I make very large profits and am making a name for myself as a low cost dealer.

My customers like me, they come back for other stuff, The people I sold a Large House to yesterday have placed an order with me for 5 heavy extractors.

That is good business. You can flame me all you like, but the sucuess of my business is what will make an impact on me, not your arguments.

Good Business?

You call your undercutting pricing GOOD BUSINESS?

I been reading up on your posts, sorry my friend, you really do NOT HAVE A CLUE. You are posting in many different threads, apparently nobody is with you and your so called "Business Plan". Do you not get it? The Architect is really NOT a solo profession, this is a profession where you really HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER. I understand you are no team player and really only out for yourself and noone else, regardless if you kill the profession you are in yourself. Speaking, since you say you are getting close to MASTER, what is your price for a PA HALL going to be? Also which servers economy are u destroying?

I am not undercutting, I am selling my products at my own price and at a solid profit based on my resoruce costs and my overhead. My customers are apriciative and send their friends to do business wtih me. My overhead is quite low and I have never sold at a loss.

I dont care what you sell for, you can charge anything you like ( high or low ) and I wont complain. If my business model is bad it will fail on its own, but it has not failed, I will be master archetect this week and am considering lowering my prices when the market falls further as my resource costs are lowering again as I move from Med extractors to heavies.

My business is fine, Im not worried about yours, that is your business.

That would like me asking you why you are overcharging, but I dont care your prices are your business and my prices are mine. This is an open economy, this is not a communistic state, this is not OPEC with price fixing, this is the real deal.

Business is war, it is PVP war at that.

The smart architects are the ones that do not sell houses. They built up their infrastructure and are now either playing the resource market or are supporting other more profitable crafting professions.

Architecture is only a step on the ladder to better things, not the last rung.

Maybe if they add experimentation there will be a spike as people upgrade their extractors, but since they do not wear out....having said that decay of a large extractor would suck big time considering the resources required to build it...catch-22 for architects there...

PA hall, probably 3.25 cr per unit of resource going into it. Unlessthere is a lot of competition at that price, then I may go lower.

Betatoxin,

If money were my only goal, you would be dead right. But I enjoy the tough housing market.

I do it becasue I love it. if I were just outto make a lot of money I would just sell my resrouces to the people that think they are worth 3 cr per unit. But I am not, I am out to make a business that people like, that they send thier firends too.

So farit is a hugesucuess, I am going to do my best to keep it up.
