Heh, yeah, I noticed this too. Especially the flavor text when you use a molecular clamp that says something to the effect of "This guy was good, but you're better"

I have been waiting forever and it is very late at night. I have been talking to him in tells for quite awhile and he keeps telling me 10 more minutes. I ask if he'd be online tommorow, he says yes and I add him to my friends list. The next morning, he is in coronet and finally able to give them to me. He had a small house filled up with containers, and added me to the admin list so I could pick them all up.
I know it wasn't really funny, but it got me through most of slicing, and I just found the guy to be a wierdo.

Well, on the heals of Fridays anouncement, I getthe guy who is every Smuggler's headache:
Sca'ra: Can you sliceme 4weapons
Me: 7k per item, Come to the cantina
Sca'ra shows up, trades me four Gaderffi's
Slice 3 for speeds 21, 25 and 26 one damage 21
Sca'ra: u want me to give 7k for those slices?
Me:No I want 28k to give your items back. I have no control over what the slices are
Sca'ra: lol, I'll give you 5k per slice, because they are bad
Me:They are not bad, they improve the weapon and I told you 7k
I equip one
Me: Looks good on me doesn't it
Sca'ra: and I told u 5k per slice or i will tell a CSR because u don't give me my weapons back

Me: Go ahead, I just took a Screenshot of the entire conversation

Me; They are not bad it is not my fault that you are speed capped. You obviously had items sliced before and knew what you were getting into
Sca'ra: i know that a smuggler cant control his slices, but i know also that ur slices a bit depends on the knives u use

Sca'ra: and a master smuggler must get slices over 25
Me: go to the Smuggler's forum and see for yourself, did you not see my title(Master Smuggler title was up the whoile time)

Me: I know the Forum's best Smugglers and I know what has been written by the DEVS in the smugglers forums

Thankyou to all my fellow Smuggler's who have had this type of customer before and posted about it here. You all helped me stick to my guns and while I didn't get paid, I didn't get screwed either.

You know, I have to honestly say that I haven't ever gotten a customer who wouldn't pay because the slice wasn't what they wanted. Most I've come across are very understanding. I remeber one guy thought 5k per item was too much and walked a way but that's it. Guess I'm lucky not to have some of the bad examples I read about here.

I think we shouldn't keep the idiot's names secret anymore, and any other Smuggler willing should start sending mails(including cross-server mails) describing how foolish these people are. I know Sca'ra is about to recieve one from me.

lol, great posts... guess I'm just lucky, never had any really bad customers... they're usually pretty understanding when i tell them that slicing is random, and I've never been called any names, or been threatined to be reported to a CSR...

After reading this forum and being tired of not getting any good slice for myself i changed tactics
i use to get good slices from master smugglers,
i hand them my "sacred laser knives ofgoodslicing" i just crafted while looking east,
start with the ritual sacrifice of 255 nunas,
never ever say a word about the kind of slices i want
and do at least a praise to the gods after each slice even if it is not that good.
my last compo had 6 encumbrace slices over 30%
got a 30% damage krayt Scatter pistol
i never attemp to have any PSG sliced again because that is asking for trouble.
one MS asked if she could keep the extra knives for her future slices 
if i can refine this method any further i am going to charge royalties on it

Not really smuggler related but i thought it worth a chuckle none the less.
A few weeks ago when the loot was realy screwed up, some guildies and I were out hunting nightsisters near the Imperial Prison. Just so happens that an Elder spawns near us and we begin to fight it. About 5 mins later when it died we were all like ok, now its time to get some good f'ing loot. What did we get?......A cargo pocket

try killing an Elder, and looting 2 regular pieces of clothing... the stuff u find in containers :S
that had us screaming to the looting-gods...

Once i was out in the deserts of Tat. hunt some game
I was doing some zucca boar missons
On one of them was just gunning them down and then out of the blue a bunch of stormies
come over the rise. I was covert rebel at the time and i was like HOLY CRUD
. Then out of the blue they start shooting the boar, i just like ok what ever, and start to back away. Then i pull out my vechile and i'm about to drive away when they start searching me. I had a sliced weapon IN My HAND, and they let me go

The other day while running through Theed I get this.
Moron: Hey man. How much do you charge for a slice:
Me: 8k per slice.
Moron: No thanks. That's way too much.
Me: If you say so.
Moron: I want it done for free.
Me: If you wanted it done for free why did you ask the price?
Moron: Too see if you charged. Alot of smugglers do it for free.
Me: Well Good luck finding Master Smuggler that will give you free slices.
Moron: Why shouldn't they. It's not like they have any money tied up in them.
Me: Yeah just the upgrade kits we buy for either armor or weapons. Plus the costs of Clamps to and knives to do the actual work. Not to mention the time put in to get this skill.
Moron: Oh.....
Do these people think we do this stuff from the kindness of our own hearts? Why do they think we don't use equipment?
