I sold 8 items the first day and that is it. W T F..... Didn't the community majority say no to this feature? I have been a Master since September 2003 and this new "feature" has pretty much ruined Weapon Smithing for me. ANyone else have any thoughts about this?

Well I think it is too early in the process to determine a definite change in the market. I sell stuff on a regular basis still. Nothing have changed imo. I don't see how your business can be ruined in two days, by this, considering you've been crafting weaps since Sept 03... your name alone should be enough to keep sales up then... if things are on your server, as they are on mine.
All in all I think it is a nice feature.

am I mistaken, or do you have to place some items on your vendor that will be priced below the minimums normally required for listing on bazaar's? I sell grenades and when I check the bazaar I only seem to find individual grenades, not crates.
I think what it does is to somewhat neutralize having your character placed in strategic locations running a banner advertising your wares. Now all anyone has to do is go to the bazaar terminal and pick a vendor in their locale that is closest and at the top of the list (not on page 165 of all vendors in the galaxy carrying the same item).

Need to look under Misc/Factory crates to see grenades (or anything else) in crates

My biggest problem with the search system is how clunky it is. You find the exact same item on 12 pages in a row. I mean one item not duplicates. It makes for searching difficult. I honestly think if prices are fair and even more importantly you have good customer service things will be fine. Since the gear is all comparable it's the smith standing behind it that counts.
Folks selling at high prices will be disappointed sure because their profit margins will come down. But most will be fine.
Another issue for me is the fact they've raised the bazaar sales amount. I saw an item selling for 15k in the bazaar. They will make it kind of pointless to even have a vendor unless you stock hihg end stuff. Why would someone run all over the galaxy when they can pick up an itme at the bazaar terminal. This doesn't apply of course to valued and regular customers, but certainly to the new folks who've never been to your shop.

Doing about the same in sales as before. All in all, I think I like it. I've found some good bargins on vendors I never would have found without the galaxy vendor search.

hes just not making a bazillion credits so he thinks blaming it on this great new search will help... i find the search to be not that great and haven't bought much because of it. its hard to find things and you can't buy them off the search you can just make a wp to the vendor the item is on... i still go to my trusted vendors over the search because its quicker and i know i'll find what i want

My weapon sales have been about the same. Chef vendor about the same. Resource sales are through the roof. Not a whole lot of people using the search though. To complicated for people who are not merchants right now and the interface just sux. Most people that are using it are looking for loot drops and stuff like that.

If i know a vendor is stocked i dont search, like for instance the armor vendor next door. Other wise i found some nice AA and CA that would have never found.
