I couldn't agree more. Yes, it needs tweaking. But all in all, I does a lot of the advertising for you. They should implement a stand alone search feature, where you could search for stats perhaps, or name or whatever.. would be nifty.

I've found this feature very interesting. Especially with all the cries of doom and gloom.
As a buyer I was really looking forward to this feature and have used it with much sucess, finding things quite quickly when it would usually take me hours, sometimes even over a few playing days to visit different vendors and follow up vendor suggestions from friends. So initially I like the bazaar search even though it has glaring problems such as repeated entries and a horrible catagory feature.
As for sales as a long standing Master Weaponsmith.
I have my regular and loyal customers, all of who havnt dumped me since this vendor search and I am getting many many new sales from new customers that I can only put down to the search feature. The thing is, 70% of the player base dont use these forums so will have never seen any adverts here. This feature is great for them and it seems, great for me too.
It needs tweaking and im sure the Devs will see to that but ***** from me.

this thing needs tweaking to make it more user friendly because right now it isn't. But i do sell stuff but lots of new different people that just buy 1 or 2 weapons.

well, i am a pretty new WS and without a +2 suit too, but i make nice Powerhammers for a decent (some may call it to low) price
i had a hard stand on finding customers b4 the bazaar search since i am pretty new, but since then my sales have multiplied by 10 (ok yes, i have sold 20 items since then
)
i would say it is a nice feature for the small town business WS out here, but a blow for the (sometimes) overpriced Wall Marts
its also much easier to find the resources without traveling 4 hours on the search for the one rare resource you will never find because only a Misc vendor in a house in the outer rim far away from South Corronet is selling it

hes just not making a bazillion credits so he thinks blaming it on this great new search will help... i find the search to be not that great and haven't bought much because of it. its hard to find things and you can't buy them off the search you can just make a wp to the vendor the item is on... i still go to my trusted vendors over the search because its quicker and i know i'll find what i want
If i know a vendor is stocked i dont search, like for instance the armor vendor next door. Other wise i found some nice AA and CA that would have never found.
i'll give you that, i found lots of AA's and Ca's last night while searching i wouldn't have ever found otherwise. haven't found any worth buying yet though

My sales are mostly the same, but my seldom visited vendor on correlia is selling quite a fewgrinding (noob)weapons. The sudden increase in sales there I can only attribute to the global search. My Dant vendor that specializes in higher end merchandise is seeing a slight dip in sales.
I found an armor vendor on Naboo who makes some really great armor for reasonable prices. I had never heard of them prior to the global vendor search. The armor is not the lowest cost, but rather moderately priced with good quality. It was really quite a find.
For me the whole thing is balancing out. Any income that I am not making is being offset by the great deals that I have been finding.

Perhaps do a little price comparison and adjust your prices? I know I enjoy the fact I can compare prices on like items much easier right now. If I see a Scatter for 15k, and one 4 6k with idential stats, guess which one I am going to buy?

I have seen my special and expensive weapon sales go up... normal weapon sales go down.
But its also nice... since w/ the vendor search feature i found that i am one on 3 or 4 WSs that i can see maning the 2.2 149max vks and i havent seen any vendors yet with the 5.2 476max hammers.
I love the feature for finding lost spawns of resocues... i can just park infront of a term and search all day.. instead of fly around and look for ever. found great deals, like best spawn ever of titanium alum. 2 months old, found it for 20 cpu and upto 40cpu on vendors... then i keept going... bam. 2.3cpu.. couldent pass that up.. i know i will be using this when im trying to find a specific resource.

here is how......for the lower level people who are making items maybe a few points under what other people can make and now they are losing to the ultimate crafters so now the rich will only get richer and the poor will only get poorer...when so to speak the devs are trying to re-balance the combat now they are unbalancing the crafting.....lol will it ever truly be balanced

well it would be unfair to blance crafting. of course the rich will be richer and the poor poorer. unless they decide to make resource stats not matter and everyone have the exact same weapon with the exact same dmg so everyone sells the same quality. other then that the superior long time rich crafter will always pervail. until the poor work their way up to rich

I just started a new vendor and i have had great sales since this update. I can't complain. Plus i have been able to find all kinds of rescources and stuff within minutes instead of searching different cities for 30min or an hour or more.
