Hopefully this is the correct place to ask..
I have some +155 tissues and want to get an ALR made, this will be the first weapon I have paid someone to build for me.
A smuggler friend of mine has tons of the triggers ( I think that is what is used) for the speed slices.
Obviously as all customers I want it as fast as possible, highest damage possible and the lowest SAC
How should I ask the weaponsmith to set up my ALR, I would sacrifice some damage for speed and low SAC.
Can the weaponsmith see what the exact stats will be before the rifle is built?
Sorry for all the questions, but there are a ton of options it seems when trying to get a weapon built.
Thanks,
Omaplata

I would get him to max out the damage (should be around 1130-1140ish) he should be able to do that with about 8-9 exp points.
If he uses low SAC stocks (about -23 or so) then he should be able to hit or almost hit the SAC cap with the rest of his points.
Then up to you how you want it sliced, I am not sure if ALR's suffer from the same "slicing" damage caps that someof the other weapons do (you can't slice themup to the crafted damage cap)- so your smuggler friend may or may not be able to get it damage sliced - so either a combo of damage and speed or all speed on the slice if thats what you want.
The WS can see the stats on the weapon after its assembled(before he experiments on it) - and he should be able to (bit of an issue at the moment because of a bug) see the stats update as he experiments on it.

Thanks,
Problem with damage slices is the illegal core boosters are very hard to find, found probably 20 triggers the other night and 0 boosters...![]()

Yeah tell me about it - as a WS and a Smuggler I can relate!
you should also make sure that the weaponsmith, when constructing the power handlers, max's out the exp points firstly on sac, followed by speed. this will produce a far better all round weapon
The same applies to the barrel, stock etc - but these will have been already made by the ws - and if he knows his trade, they will have been created using the same principles
all the best with your shiny new gun
Hi
Im a weaponsmith on bloodfin with 12 exp points. Just saw this and if you are interested i build it for you, price 100 k.
Or maybe you already had a weaponsmith in mind, well ingame is Agroa if you need help.
How i normally do it is i experiment on SAC on power handlers to -9, then rest in speed.
Then i use pre cu components for the rest. They have better overall stats than post cu components. I would normally experiment as much as possible on the final weapon for dmg and then put the rest in SAC. Then you can slice it for speed as the components are easier to find. Or you can do some dmg slice but not sure what the slice cap is for ALR. I think it is 1183 but im not sure.

Carambol, thanks a lot for your offer.
That brings up a good question. How do I know if the weaponsmith I choose is any good or won't take my 155 tissues and make the ALR with 100 tissues? Unfortunately just about everyone I know in the game is fairly new so we don't have any good references or sources.
I did put up a post in the Bloodfin trade forum which is pretty much useless for that type of thing. It went from the first page to the 2nd page in 20 minutes and only 1 person saw it in that time. He sent me a tell and offered to make it for 50k.
Is it possible to get the final stats without giving up my tissues?
So now I have 2 people who have offered to make it for me, and (for me) quite a bit difference in price. I do understand that obviously each could be using different compenents which cost more, but I would want to know what the end product will be for each price. I don't mind paying more if it gets me a better weapon.
I am not trying to be a pain in the a$$ but if I sold the tissues they would change my net worth by 100 fold so I am just trying to be careful.
Thanks everyone for your help,
Omaplata

Hi, well i guess you cant really know, but if i would guess how high dmg it will be after craft i say ..hmm 1143 dmg. But that can differ between weaponsmiths of course.

Thanks again, I really should do some work, but hanging out in the forums seems to be more fun.
You should charge me what you think it is truly worth. 1140 damage sounds great. How hard would it be to get the SAC close to 82?
The other guy/girl could be charging me 50k for a rifle with maxed damage and a speed of 3, with SAC of 130 for all I know (just making numbers up...), I will reply to their mail to check the stats on what they think they can produce.
Again, I really appreciate you taking the time to help educate me, I am a bit slow...
Omaplata
Maybe we should talk in private mails after this as i guess this is outside general weaponsmith interest now.
I dont think i will get SAC down to 82. I guess 83-84. Speed around 2.70. Lower SAC=Slower. As someone mentioned above a crafting bug exist now, which mean i cant see final stats on weapon untill im done with it. I can still make the rifle if you just want me to max out damage and then go for SAC (that is what i normally do).
Take your time and find out other people stats if you want. No hurry for me.

you also could take into account you COULD get a critical failure and getting a less desireable weapon. Hey its happened to me and im 12pt in research city.
To hit 82 SAC and 1140 with 160+ should be doable. Just have to have someone that knows what they are doing

I never got anything else than great and amazing success for high end weapons, as i always eat food when i craft them. But nothing is 100% i guess.

I'll send you an e-mail in game tonight when I get on.
