Thread: Capped SAC, capped damage, capped speed +ADK..now what?
I love this new loot, but it's got to go.
or...remove the weapon caps /hopes
lets not be too hasty and forget the +65 and up acc scopes..omg thats 50mill worth of CA's I'll never have to buy

I couldnt agre more.
Its the fault of the ADK and we have only seen the top of the problem IMO.
With the CUs removal of damage types people only need one single weapon..
With slices being predictable they only need on try to get the weapon exactly how they want it...
These are however problems that have been there befor ethis loot was introduced. While I agree that this is unbalancing and shouldnt have been introduced,I would rather the devs focused on introducing new damage types and creature being vulnerable to these so more weapons became a necessety.
Something that counters the ADK as this in my opinion is the greatest problem we face atm
I agree, blessed or in SWG's case Anti-Decayed items are a stupid idea, and at least they sacked the dev that brought them in. Jonathon "Calandryll" Hanna, THE single worst game developer in history.
I've just made a 1060 max 73 SAC elite for one of my toons, and before it was fired it was ADK'd, I probably should have had it sliced beforehand but meh who cares..it's fast enough.

Ehm while this might have been the essence of my post I wouldnt go as far as to say I agree with you ![]()
I stil believe these components are overpowered and shouldnt have gotten ingame, they should have raised min dam or been melee components or something else.
But Id rather see the devs spend their time making the effects of the adk less evere for the WS community than using time nerfing stuff.
Im not calling fo rhte ADK to be removed as I know this is not an option anymore. Im asking for the need for so many different weapons that only very very veyr few people would be able to afford adking every wepaon they needed.
I agree with the poster I cancelled my crafters account a few months back and am comeing back now because some CU issues were resolved. Such as my CH is not totally crippled anymore. So I reactivate my weaponsmith yesterday and started crafting today. Here is what I did not like.
These damned caps for starters whats the point of spending 20 minutes to generate a generic item. That everyone else and their monkey could make. This is a full frontal nerf instead of actually fixing the resource tables complexities and re evaluateing experimentation lines. They obviously decided to do a simple simon and block anything approacing individuality.
I was disappointed by how many weapons are hooked onto the danged combat level system, and not in the professions where they need to be. That is what used to differentiate one profession from another.
ADKs are never going to go anywhere thats all there is to it. You cannot take away a 20 million credit item from a player. Too many would quit over that but makeing damage types more important would of oh I do not know made players feal the need to carry a arsenal.
All in all I was dissappointed. To the poster that talked about makeing money. Reality check crafting is no longer about makeing money. Your never going to get a fair price for your time spent. If you are looking for money my advice go BH and start a looting you can make 30 to 40 million a week easy. The point of any crafting is the game of trying to one up yourself and exceed yourself. You have the resource management the chronic experimentation the surveying the running a business. My BH can craft aswell as my weaponsmith now his camps are generic the same as everyone elses too.
all SOE has to do is introduce min range to weapon types and re-introduce the accuracy modifiers and voila! problem fixed.
What good is owning one super krayt scatter pistol if your range is 0-35m?
what good is an uberloote-11 mk2 when its min range is 10m max is 45?
what good is that godlike t21 when its minrange is 25m max 64?
and their modifiers are + at min and at midpoint to max and then a good negative at max range (inverted for rifles)?
no more single weapon users is what. want to uberloot your arsenal? you'll need 3 of 'em.
The likelihood is any player who can afford a gun like thisalready had an ADK'd gun and would never have bought another from you anyway.

I think the only people that will disagree with you are the ones that realize that they can scoop these up from people that don't fully understand their value yet, then sell the weapons made with them for insane profit.
The sad thing is that, despite how everyone goes on about how rare they are, they seem to be everywhere. I've already had a few people asking about what stats guns would hit with theirs, and a friend has been kept busy with a number of people already.
My main concern, however, is that these will hammer the non-enhanced market even more. Unenhanced weapon sales have already slowed to a crawl for me...with the talk of this stuff even krayt/gorax has dropped. Frankly, I'm getting sick of having to chase the loot market like this. And make no mistake about it, people judge smiths by the enhanced weapons on their vendors, not the unenhanced...even though that makes no sense at all...
