Well,
If you don't know solo groups are in for a huge nerf coming in the next week or so.
This means your customers will no longer be able to do missions for 30k or so a pop.
Max estimated mission earnings per mission will average around 6k for combat elites.
This is a 80% drop in your customers income.
How will you or will you adjust your prices to reflect this or will you wait untill new weaponsmiths
begin producing weapons for 80% less. Just a question.

I don't see prices changing much on normal wapons. They've been pretty stable for a long time. I suspect there may be a couple k drop in some of the lower-level stuff, but at the same time resources reqd for shipwright has the stockpiles swindling.
Prices on Krayt or limited-schematicweapons may need to drop, as the market simply will not bear the prices they command today.

I think this requires no action whatsoever on our parts.
I have judged my prices as of late as a function of my time.
I have even been lessening my production of normal weapons to accomodate the lack of general demand for anything but uniquely created weapons.
Now that this will need to be my sole source of income, I see prices stabalizing to rising.
This will cause inflation of prices in my opinion.
Incomes drop, demand stays the same.
That means that the supply curve aned the demand curve have not moved. people ability to pay may, but that does not change the need they have for it. So a larger portion of their income is now required.
Worse, I know I have used this inmy Jedi grind on an alt to help support myself. NowI will have to make more through my smith business, that means thatmy smith business becomes even more important to me as my money now MUST be made there.
All in all this is a dumb move on SOE's part to do ahead of the Combat revamp, upgrade, put off, whatever they are calling it now.

I haven't really changed my prices since I started last year before solo groups, so I'm not making any changes now.
I would imagine that people won't be burning through weapons as fast now either so sales volume will probably go down.

Yup, same here.
Somehow I don't think paying 6-15K for a weapons is going to break the bank for anyone even with this "nerf."

why would my prices come down? This logic I see in a lot of posts about this makes me laugh hard. Solo groups are getting nerfed.. that must mean crafters won't charge as much. No, it means you'll just need to work a little harder to make money.

I see the price of other things drop more than weapons. I see the price of organics like meat dropping, since it will now be more profitable to harvest the hide/meat of creatures to sell with the lower pay on missions.
Ican see chef foods having to drop as people will have a problem buying brandy and other foods at 100k+ pr crate. THe prices of things liek armor and weapons should stay about the same as i use about one Vk every 2 weeks, but in the same time i use a crate of brandy and arisha

really the only things that should drop would be chef foods and armor. on corbantis brandy and canape is now hitting up to 300k per crate (very high end stuff though 409 for 47min brandy and 745 for 11min canape, worth it if you can afford it) and armor is 400k+ for comp/hunting.
with this nerf i'll be able to do picket missions for 10k without using armor or canape and use brandy sparingly. if anything this isn't a combat profession nerf, it's an armorsmith/chef nerf

New weaponsmiths won't be able to produce the weapons i make for 80% less, the resource rarety and worth dictate that.
as for lowering my prices....nah, combat profs were paying about 10% of what they should have been paying by how much they were making off of missions. now they have to work for the things they want.

Armor and food (and their subcomps) are overpriced to the extreme as it is, if anything they will be pricecut. But most likely nothing will happen.

There are still people out there with tons of money. Sure the value of really high stuff might go down but people are still going to want the best stuff and will still be willing to pay the big bucks.
There will probably be some way to get around it and people will make tons of money still. I might have to just go to doing 12k crimson blurrgmissions on endor like I used to do when grinding up a combat profession
