Depends on how you do it. I've heard of people grinding it out in aday with Heavy Warheads. One guy did it in two days with projectile rifle barrels. Personally, I spent four months, but I deliberately took my time with it. I think Heavy Warheads give the most XP, but they require a lot of different resources and a couple of specific named resources.

Depends how you like to approach it. If you aren't in a rush, i would recommend mining Hydron-3 Inert Gas, Skevon Reactive Gas, Thoranium Steel, Metal, Polymer, and Radioactive to grind out Heavy Warheads. So just do barrels up to ADV Munitions or something and grind out the fast way. Many WS have these resources in store from their grind or they just save it up. If you don't like to mine you can always buy. Or do the slower grind only requiring lots and lots of Metal.

took a couple of weeks to master, although i took my time about it and often played on my other character aswell..
although once i managed to get a hold of some skevon and hydron-3 my grind came alot faster

Took me about a month of grinding here and there on projectille barrels. Once i was able to make medium warheads i finished the grind in about a three-four days grinding em for an hour or 2 a night. the warheads are awesome. you can grind a skill box in an hour easy.
If you're gonna do it. do it now cause recursive macros are going away in one of the upcomming patches.

Oh and yeah, you can do it in a few hours with heavy warheads and an in-game crafting macro

Hmm I guess I need to do the warhead route also. I did metal staffs and just got projectile rifle barrels but they both give pretty low xp.. Ill just keep my eye open for the hydron 3 and skevron.

I've been a master for quite a long time. I asked a lot of questions along the way and learned a lot crafting my way. Check out this VERY OLD POST I had added to my subscriptions. Rather then necroing it (out of professional embarrasment) I'll set it up for ya..Ca't do the "linky" thing though..

It can be done in as little as three days, but it took me 2 months.

yeah i masteredws in 4 days (after a week of finding resources), and now 2 weeks later im still just beginning to run advanced component schematics through my factory. will be several more weeks before i really start turning out any amount of weapons. mastering the proffesion is the easy part, what comes next seperates the men from the boys.
