Heavy Warheads are the way to go if you can buy/harvest the ressources. For a grinding fool (like me) it takes a lil over 6 hours from novice artisan to master weaponsmith.

I did it in a day grinding heavy warheads. I was in a mad rush yesterday to master it before server down so that it will count towards my FS credit. I ran out of Skevon Gas 2 hours before server down and was desperate to finish, so I had to buy 30k of it for 40 cpu at a vendor. Ouch. So make sure you've got all the stuff mined before you start if you want to do it on the cheap.

About 14-15 hours of straight clicking once I got all the steel I needed... not a single warhead... Seriously. (And I didn't violate the EULA, either)
Damn good macro and a sore clicking hand...

i ground out metal staffs till munitions 2 and did the speed grind with heavy warheads.. probably spent close to a million on all the resources need for the speed grind. Gunga is an Alt toon so I had a few month headstart with my other characterso the $$ was there.
spent a couple hours per day for a few days..

warheads are the way to go, you can do it in a few hours. of course if you don't have all of the resources it can get pretty pricey for the skevon. a guy in my guild just ground it out and could only find high quality skevon and had to pay 30 cpu for it
