Thread: Questions about good stats on resources for good/sellable weapons..
Before I possibly start into weaponsmithing, I need to know what are "good" stats on resources like:
- Aluminium
- Iron
- Steel
- Copper
- Gemstone
Where the important stats are either cd/oq 50% or sr 100% to craft "good" and "sellable" weapons. Additional to this, I'd like to know what the caps on cd/oq/sr on each of this resources are, or even the special one like "kamris iron", "axidite iron", "ferrous metal", "platinite copper", etc.
Btw. I need to know which ressources the subcomponents like Advanced Projectile Feed Meachanism or Adv. Proj. Pistol Barrel etc. need, all I could find in the stickies were the schematics for weapons, not subcomponents.

Well yes, this answers the question about caps on resources, but opens another one: Are the caps still actuall with the CU?

What are good stats for which resource for good & sellable weapons?

I mean, I don't belive most of the WS out there are using all the 1000ish 999ish 998ish resources to make good weapons. I do belive a lot are also using resourceses between 850-950. All I need to know WHAT's good for a weapons which will come out "good" and "sellable". I don't want to waste any time ending up with wrong resources.

If you want OK weapons, get good resources.
I suggest you look at Lunariel's Guide to Resource Caps to determine the caps for the resources you are looking for. Then use the "find resources" tool at SWGCraft's site and figure out what you consider to be reasonable stats. Then find out the prices on your server.
You might be able to get some people here to list what the best resource are on their server, but I doubt you'll get anyone that can really answer your question.

That's what I am asking here over and over and over again. HOW do the WS here define "good"? Is this too much to ask?

To start with I thinkk your would wanna know what a WS defines as good not an AS. ![]()
My suggestion would be to go to a site like http://swg.allakhazam.com/and use the scehmatic database there(some schematics are missing, most arent). It will list every specific resource you need and tell you what stats are important in them. Combine this with the cap information you have been pointed at several times and it should be simple enough. The obvious answer is that once you know what you need, the cap is the best. So, close to the cap is good and the farther off it the worse off you are.
Now that I have answered you, I would like to say that although you may not have intended it, from the way I have read your posts you have seemed, if not rude, at least not polite. When asking for help you may find that the nicer you post the more likely you will get helpful friendly answers.

That's cool, but one question still remains:
What are good stats for which resource for good & sellable weapons?

Generally, CD or OQ are the most popular stats (but not in all cases, look at your schems)...Weaponsmith resources are very specific for advanced weapons. It's not just "copper" ...it's "platinite copper", etc.. You don't even have to know the caps to figure out what's the best. go to www.swgcraft.com and there's a menu on the left "find resources" click on that..put your server in the pull down menu, put the resource you need in the pull down menu, put the % (weight) of experimentation (the most popular would be 50% in conductivity and 50% in Overall Quality...but each weapon or component may have specific values that are different). after putting that in, hit the button an whalla..it gives you a list. on the last box on the right there are up and down arrows...the down arrow will sort by the best one and then #2, 3, etc. Hit the bazaar and do a global search and track down the best you can.
