Thread: If I did this, what would happen?
bank balance would ever so slowly grow....
reputation-you;d be labeled clinically insane. other crafters would curese your name, and players would love you
Spare time would become a thing of the past.
Sanity-see reputation.
As for tell hell.......you;d occasionally lose connection from SWG as your tell rate exceededyour upstreamservers bandwidth.
You would at first see a huge surge in sales. These prices would bring in buyers from across the galaxy. You would sell out your vendors within hours, no matter how much you put on them.
Then one of two things would happen. If you managed to somehow keep up with demand, you can say goodbye to both your free time and your sanity, as you will no longer have either.
OR, You will get overwhelmed, be perpetually behind, and thus your vendor will almost always be empty. Empty vendors yield people hate you. This is the single fastest way to lose customers.
Here's what I think. I assume your question is just from curiousity. After all you couldn't seriously want to sell a FWG5 for.....441 credits?!?!?
a. it would grow.....slowly
b. fellow crafters would hate you, merchants and fighters (who are luckly enough to find anything on you vendor) would love you. And every informed player would think you have zero economic or buisness sense,
c. spare time and have anything on your vendor? Unless you sell compete grabage....forget it. You'll craft till you eyes fall out and still your vendor will be EMPTY 
d. completely gone
Don't forgetthat as a weaponsmith you have to collect all the very best resources. You can't buy the vast majority of those for 3 cpu, and that is when they are current. You'll use irreplaceable resources from months ago. Plus the weapons must be fully experimented with all great successes, and destroy anything less.
If you want to sell at 3 cpu's just sell the raw materials. After all that is the dominant price for the average raw material. The idea of selling a high quality item for the price of the raw material (which will cost more that 3 cpu's anyway) is ludicrous.
3cpu is absurdly low for weapons, that's less than 1k for a laser rifle and 2k for a T21.
You'll spend all your time doing factory runs and loading vendors only to have them sell out within hours to resellers who buy every item on the vendor. You will get enormous numbers of tells and emails asking when you're restocking your vendor or why your vendors are always empty, and after you run out of good resources you'll also get people asking why your guns are worse than everyone else's.

Then why are you asking? I bet after 2-3 weeks at most, you'll see there is no logic behind this other than getting customers and even then, you'll only get a few if your weapons are any good because the first few people will scarf up everything on your vendor...
As someone said, your resources will be gone in no-time.
What you're offering is admirable. Idiotic... But admirable.
There are alway reasons why people not doing that kinda stuffs ... or those who do that never last long .
Wait till he start to hunt for good resource to compete then he will change his mind and if he make those from junk stuff then no one will want to buy them, dont care how cheap it is... The capy weapon do more harm then good . Maybe he may sell some to those newbie who does not know but soon they will all understand between a junk piece of work and a good one .

You will quickly run out of your best resources and will make sub-par weapons. Your customer-base will be only temporary, consisting of resellers who ditch you as soon as you stop staying in stock. Any other customers you get will ditch you the second you raise prices. All of the Weaponsmiths on your server will hate you, trash your weapons, bad-mouth your name and one-star your posts.
It isn't really a good idea long-term. Your best customers will consist of those that come for you for the best weapons. Those are the customers that give you tons of free advertising and stick with you long-term. Having a reputation for the best weapons is infinitely better than having a reputation for cheap guns. Everyone has plenty of money, no one is going to be desperate to find a gun for 500cr. But they are going to be desperate for that guy who they know consistently has the best weapons on the server, so they can throw all their money at him.
partly it's curiosity, partly twisted sense of humor.
Mainly because once I've mastered the proffs I want to, I don't want to go holo hunting. And so I need to find new ways of making the game amusing.
In EQ this took the form of my cleric who quickly became known as a madman, who used more nukes / stuns / fears than anyone else. (AE Fear in mistmoore, anyone?).
Also, I probably wouldn't use a vendor, I'd stick stuff on the bazaar. Not so long ago I had a medium naboo house, had one of each of the things I could make displayed on the walls of the main room. When Imoved intoa smaller house, I sold them all on the bazaar for 500-1000 creds each. (yes, I sold a rocket for 1k, so sue me). made a pretty penny that week. Not in the regions that some people earn (infact my alt makes more in destroy missions than I do selling stuff), but it's enough to keep my maintenance paid up

Well, if you're doing it for fun then I say do whatever rocks your boat. But if you're doing it for profit, then why should you do all the work and use all your rare resources to make a few hundred credits when someone will just buy out your stock and resell it for thousands of credits per gun. You'll do all the work, they'll by far get most of the profit. So, only a handful of opportunists will benefit from your generosity.
