Er, I mean do whatever 'floats' your boat. Rocking a boat is generally considered to be a bad thing.

Pretty much summed up by everyone already. Just wanted to add that every single lowballer I seen on my server burn out very quickly. But if that's what you want to do, then go for your life.

You state you don't understand why people care as long as you make your (insignificant) profit - sure - that's a two dimensional way of looking at it. You do all the work in making the gun and make your "1 credit profit means success" margin - I'd definitely come along and buy it and mark it up and make my "easiest 1000%profit ever" margin.

As for your EQ story, I can tell you that if your "madness" caused any players to die because you're out of mana to heal or your AoE fears caused trains (and boy Mistmoore trains were legendary) it's a sure fire way to be known as that "useless cleric fool" that no one would like to group with - whether that happened or not is not the point.

WIth all due respect it just sounds like you want attention

hehe, lookit this way, when you have a set of characters capable of crafting (between them) most items for the game, weapons, armor, housing. Getting something is just a matter of paitience (eg, I want to base myself out of a PA Hall, but don't want to pay the 300k+ for one, so I'll wait a couple weeks until I've got master architect).

I literally only need credits for maintenance fees, and don't feel inclined to work for creds I won't use. (unlike RL where money is my one and only motivator)

If there was some way to prevent people from reselling my stuff for higher, and to limit the purchases per customer,I would probably end up doing the exact same thing you are talking about here. But since I know my stuff would just be turned around for profit like that, well, I want that profit for myself.

If anything, I will try to sell cheaper than most on my weaponsmith's server, but not by any seriously significant amount. Just enough to get attention to my stuff, make it stand out.

BTW, people who name themselves like they're R5 units rock ^_~

I've been thinking about it a bit more, actually. And it is possible, so long as you don't mind human interaction.

Maybe stick a word or number in your sig once every couple of days, give it an expiry date (or limit the number of orders, and sell weapons cheap to anyone who can quote the number to you (1-to-1 sales, as opposed to vendor sales). With a condition that they may have to wait for orders to be filled, and maybe nothing that takes more than one factory run (no -ing RLaunchers), or charge a small surcharge for factory runs.

Does it show that work's been slowing up towards christmas?

Well if you're serious about selling everything dirt cheap I'd strongly suggest you find yourself a good master merchant. You'd avoid the hate from other crafters, endless tells, and make a great friend out of the merchant. Plus it would avoid joe smoe scarfing everything up just to do what the merchant would do for you. Then at least you know the person who is profiting off your work.
