These are the first two Laser Rifles I have made using advanced subcomponents.

They are NOT Sliced. I would like to know if they are getting fairly decent or not.

They do not have stocks, scopes or other optional components.

Laser Rifle 1:

Spd: 6.2

Dmg: 41/371

Wnd: 15.4%

HAM: 15/23/62

Laser 2 is same cept HAM is 14/23/62 and wound is 15.8%

That's a fine weapon for a first attempt...good job!

Mine are 42-394 5.X speed (no stock)

52-413 (with stock)

See if you can get better metals,they'll improve it tolike 396 max 5.7.

Use regular scope experimented for efficiency, +10 accuracy for 1/1/1 HAM is nice. Also don't use adv barrel, the speed loss isn't worth the small damage and accuracy increases (especially now that rifleman has that huge accuracy bonus from the sniping tree).

Normal scopes can get to 0/0/0 Ham with high OQ copper (cobei on Eclipse) and with additional skill tapes will add up to +14 accuracy..

My laser rifles are 42-399 5.7 I believe.. so.. some resource tweaking is probably possible.. but resources differ across the servers so weapons will always vary..

I wanted to respond to this only because I am on the same server as the originator of the post. Last night I made a laser rifle that was 64-427 6.0. I did add a stock that was 33/33/.281 with 28/28/28 ham increases. leaving the highest ham cost at 89.

Stil this would have been 394 in max at 5.8 at least with out the stock.

I thought stocks were a No-No... ? Or should I put them only on T21s (once I get Master Weaponsmith)?

Don't use them for anything. The HAM is way too high, the speed penalty sucks, and the damage increase isn't nearly enough to make it worth the penalties.

I get LOADS of master rifleman and carbineers that want the stocks..

They use them for PvP purposes and don't really care about HAMs because they are buffed anyway..

They are specialized use weapons to be sure.. but there ARE uses for them..

I definitely agree with this. Master's could care less about speed. And if you're buffed, then HAM isn't a big deal either. So for PvP Stock's are a very good thing.

my advanced laser rifle (BPH and Barrel) is 5.7 42-400

add an advanced stock to it and you are looking at 6.0spd 70-470 but the ham cost is higher than a non-stocked T-21

I find even using 970+ materials in the BPH/barrel yields around 20 min/max LESS than the advanced parts for about a 0.2 spd decrease... i only use stocks when requested and never use scopes unless required (Rocket launcher)

with the right resources you can get

regular scope

wound 3

wpn range +10

HAM 0/0/0

i was able to get advance scope today down to

wound 5

wpn range +12

HAM 1/1/1

human WS no extra tapes or bonuses...

weapon assembly 100

weapon experimentation 100

I am not sure if other WS's have picked up on this but there is now a use for scopes and stocks with high ham costs.

MOUNT WEAPONS!!!

Since you cant use specials the ham costs dont matter. You want the fastest, highest damage weapon no matter the ham costs. I have a few discerning rifleman that have brought this to my attention. So I am now producing a line of weapons to be fired while mounted.

Just a thought for the boards.
