Thread: Advanced Weapon Stocks Stats

My normal Advanced Weapon Stocks are roughly 40/40 .357 27/27/27.

I was doing a custom order the other day and had a little free time so I was just playing around crafting stocks to see what I could come up with. I came up with the following:

40/40 .599 18/18/19

What do you guys think about these. These look to be perfect Stocks for T21's since speed is all but irrelevant and it significantly drops hams and has no hit on damage. Not sure what else these would be useful in, any thoughts?

I also had another weaponsmith donate a couple Crit Success stocks that are 40/40 .157 26/26/26. Which set of stocks do think would actually be more worthwhile and what weapons would you use which stock in. I was thinking the Crit Success stocks would be good for Carbines where speed is important.

Sounds like you've got the right idea, I would make sure to put something in the title of the T21's about low ham, most people would just think that the speed sucks and go on, not paying attention to the ham.

ya I don't do any mass crafting only custom crafted items so that wouldn't be an issue. And damage/hams is what most people are concerned with on T21's.

Don't know about your server but a 7.3 speed 412 damage T21 with 10 or 11 points more in each HAM pool is going to sell alot more than a 7.6 or 7.7 speed 412 damage T21 with the HAM mods of your new stock in place on my server. My advanced stocks are 40/40 .286 speed or something like that, and with all the doctors and musician/dancers around not many people care about T21 HAM rates. If you truly cared about HAM you wouldn't be buying a gun with a stock on it or a scope on it, unless they are 0 HAM editions(or 1 HAM).

Have to agree with Trean on this one.

Most people look at two stats when they buy a weapon... damage and speed. It's unfortunate but true, out of all the custom jobs I have done (from Krayt DL44s right through to Executioners Hacks) only one person has ever asked me to "Experiment on the HAM costs". Oddly enough that was on a custom Hack.

Oh, and my stocks are 40/40 .27

Man.....I wrote out a big ole paragraph and just deleted it all lol....

1-- Yes, the slower T21 with less HAM should be more valuable to the experienced Rifleman....but its not...

2-- No, they wont sell because the speed will be slower even though it doesn't matter!!

3-- Bang head on desk and wonder why you are a WS to begin with like I do

maybe . I created some nice advanced weaponstocks near that with about .290 speed. Only problem is the dang corellian decidious wood won't go above 500 SR. Keep using my 900 SR link-steel alumin.

Um? Master Rifleman need +7 or +8 Rifle Speed CAs to cap a 7.5 speed T21, so speed does matter, unless you have CAs.

Force Speed is +12, Ranged support is +5, any rifleman worth a crap is speed capped it can easily be done with just skills. If the rifleman isn't capped then he's likely not going to be buying weapons from me since I only do custom weapons.

Just wanted to ressurect this post for a sec, I have some new stocks now that are 40/40, .827, 14/14/14 hams. I still have the other two stocks(can't seem to get my speeds down to the .2xx range). It seems people have started to become more aware of HAMs and how to work with them, do you still think that speed/damage are the most important stats or are our consumers becoming more edjucated.
