Thread: Can this be true? Resource stat caps & SWGCraft.com data
So I've been having a fiddle on SWGCraft.com to see what some of the resource caps might be on some of the resources that might be used by weaponsmiths. What I've found puzzles me...
Here's a wee table (if I can get it to work) of all the aluminium subtypes. I've used the 'Find Resource' function on SWGCraft to search for the highest recorded stats for CD, SR, UT, HR and DR (I've read that OQ is always capped at 1000). I've searched on all servers, all planets, yes verified, don't care about availability...

AluminuimLink-steel742830830858707
AluminuimPhrik800900900800800
AluminuimTitanuim408430430329304
Can these caps be right??? Some of them seem very low indeed - especially Titanium Aluminium. I've looked a bit further on in my spreadsheet (I'm doing this manually, hence the far-from-complete results!) and found others, too - Desh Copper CD maxes out at 572, UT 372 and so on.
Is this the actual state of affairs, or is this more to do with incomplete reporting to SWGCraft?
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

These &^%$£ forums... does anyone know a way to force the forum to use a monospaced font face?? I've tried using the <font face="courier"> and <tt> tags, but no joy... immensely frustrating.
82???? Wow. That's embarrassingly low!!!

I happen to think what you're doing is quite worthwhile.
I would definitely use the data. It allows a new Weaponsmith to know immediately if the resource they are havesting is on par with "the good stuff".

No kidding. The cap is 100, I think. And to add insult to injury, the weapons that require it need CD and OQ.
When Weaponsmithing you will find that you WILL need to use something like Fooman's tool. It gives you the straight dope on what resources are good. It's impossible to look at stats. It will kill you to find out you passed on a spawn of Axidite because the OQ was low when it was almost perfect for an item that did not require OQ. Or pass up the best Plumbum that has ever spaend because the CD was <100.
In Weaponsmithing it's not about what resource is "best" it's about which resource is "less horrible."
