Thread: I knew that was coming....

that is just a shame what is happening around these forums and game, I dont understand why a thread like that would be deleted...
absolutely ridiculous.
i gave up, its like explaining things to a toddler.
I actually think the worst thing is the animosity (spelling?) that has risen from this.
As I said before it got deleted we and the entertainers should stand together as we are both a minority.
Im sure if we stopped yelling at each other we could work a new kind of buff out that was needed (essential?) but didnt ruin our profession and its endgoal.

I agree - there needs to be productive communication between the entertainers and the crafters about this.
This sort of thing needs to be discussed at the concept level really - not when it gets put on the TC.
But since we are there now, if any of the Devs are reading this - please can we have some input from yourselves and 2-way discussion before this goes live. There is definately a need to look at the specific crafting professions and their current situation and how this will effect them.

first step is making people understand this is bad at all for any one of the crafting professions.
even that point was lost on 99 percent of the people discussing it.

I just wanted to pop in and thank you folks for the effort you all have been giving in the entertainer/dancer/musician forums. Since the first hint of this was brought to my attention I have been (mostly silently)devouring the expansive discussions posted there and here.
In particular, I want to thank the people who have already responded to THIS thread, as you all seem to have been presenting cogent &comprehensivearguments to the entertainers, whether they have been well received or not. In many cases I would have a reaction to a post, but a few posts down I would find one of you had responded with exactly my concerns in a much more clear manner than I ever could have.

it seems most are not looking at the long term effects of this change, fine it's something that the entertainer profession needed for the longest time, but please understand that this will have dire consequences for the game as a whole...
and really, we're not trying to take away from the Entertainer profession, we're just trying to stand up for something that affects ALL crafters not just Weaponsmiths

just because we do not have a viable developed alternative does not mean we do not have the right to object to one aspect of the buff (resources of course) that is damaging to our crafting professions while still supporting the rest of the proposed buffs.

Okay fair enough. But how many objections are needed? 10, 100, 1000? When asked for options and alternatives and responding with continued objections surely you'll agreewill cause frustration, for both. Had the "objections" been kept to a minimum, perhaps the other post offering alternatives wouldn't have ended up being deleted. The end result is that dancers felt they were again being attacked and crafters felt like they were being ignored. Both sides lost. Can we work toward something other than that now?
I'm willing to work on a compromise to suit both our needs i could live with using a resource buff every time i craft. But the 10% will just have to go one way or another. 1, 2,3,4 or 5 at it's max should be workable. As far as i know all use smiths are damn proud of our resource collection. Like you entertainers are proud of the dances and combinations etc you can make and shows you can put on. We can work towards a better solution but would i would really like to see is a post from a dev because without them we can't do a thing.
