Thread: Query about Jawa Ions

I wish to have two Krayt versions of this gun made, are there any looted items such as barrells or stocks which can be attached to them?

Also if any Masters on Naritus have the required resources and looted items (if possible) perhaps you can leave your details here.

Many thanks,

THey can only use Krayt Tissue, and there are no looted barrels better than what a crafter can make.

Yup, there are. They're fairly rare though...

I've heard of exceptional barrels dropping from Krayt, although they seem prettyrare. Other than Krayt tissue that's about all you can do since there's no stock or scope slot. For 2 rifles, you'll want either 1 set of 11 identical tissues, or two sets of 6.

Keep in mind that a 35% slice on a non krayt Jawashould put you somewhere in the 315ish max damage range. It's kind of a gamble because the slice is usually what will determine if the gun is worth using. Although, if you can get some nice tissue, and possible even find some of the high end looted barrels you should have a very nice piece on your hands.

Oh, you may want to look for an 11 or12 point master, since experimentation fails suck. I'd suggest either Dy-nod or Troll if either have time, they'reprobably the 2 best smiths on the server at present.

Thanks for all the replies.

I have 11 same serial tissues to make these guns with so im ok there +41 dmg -.5 speed. Troll appears to want tissues in lieu of payment which I find rather extravagant to be honest as I dont mind paying up to 150k to have these made with the best resources. I will certainly look up Dy-nod though thanks for your help.

Sorry for hijacking the thread more...

What are the approx stats on these rifle barrels? I have not seen one drop better than what I can make (9/9 -.45 normal 11/11 -.31 advanced for rifle barrels) on Valcyn. I always have people offering barrels from Nym and FOrt Tusken Hunts and they are always 5/5 -.2

Not doubting you, but I just need to pay more attention to barreels when hunting because I dont even both keeping them, if I pick any up I delete them assuming they are always 5/5 -.2

Exceptional/legendary barrels have damage, speed, and accuracy well above what is possible from crafted ones. Slightly above average ones have yellow text names, and exceptional/legendary have yellow text names with exceptional/legendary added on.

Get used to the tissue payment. It is hear to stay. Weaponsmiths try hide hair left and right to get krayt tissue. You cannot even buy the stuff at any price anymore. So when you come through the door with tissue. The smith wants some. Remember a weaponsmith likes to fill orders for special weapons. Hey its one of our pleasures.

Not to mention that most master weaponsmiths of high reguard are as rich as solomon and just as shrewd. Money means nothing to them as much as reputation and comeing through for their most loyal customers. I have spare krayt tissue that I do not use because at this point. I am sick of giveing and not getting.

Remember some krayt weapons are going for over one million credits. This is not merely weaponsmith greed. The supply of tissue is so limited. That to part with any of it knowing that you may never get another tissue again is a painful ordeal.

They really need to pull the krayts down a notch, or increase the yeild on them, because as it stands. Thirty people to take one down is just downright excessive. Then to have no drops through six or seven of them is just cruel.

I do understand the tissue predicament for a WS. However, if all WS were to take this attitude then I would not be able to get these two guns made without having to part with a substantial part of what is a 5 million credit investment for me. I do not think that is fair to be honest when the WS is merely "making" the gun and being paid for it. As you said most good WS are extremely wealthy and there is no reason why they cannot take the time to buy tissues as I have. I bought 11 same serial tissues for 5 million there is nothing stopping a WS from doing the same and making weapons for sale at cost + a profit percentage. As you said Krayt weapons can sell for millions so why dont the WS invest and be the ones making these profits.

Thirty people? Krayt are not that tough. It takes no more than 5 if you know what you're doing, and could even be done in a group of 3 or even 2 (actually, if a rifleman has all day it could be soloed).

Personally I've always preferred getting my own tissue rather than buying, but I am just lucky that way I guess. Then again, I haven't sold weapons publicly since August, so I'm not as rich as most smtihs. I didn't become a Weaponsmithto makemoney, I just wanted to make good weapons.

Risk vs. reward is too high. 5 million in tissues for 2 guns. There are 2-4 points that you could bescrewed out of your 2.5 million in tissues per gun.

  1. Powerhandler assembly. Crit fail strikes and you lose a tissue.

  2. Weapon assembly. Crit fail strikes you lose all your tissue enhanced powerhandlers.

  3. Powerhandler experimentation experimentation. Bad rolls can hurt your damage/speed, but a 12pt master can recover, 10pt may be able to if it's not too bad.

  4. Weapon experimentation. Pretty much same as above. Bad rolls suck, but 12pt master has less trouble recovering.

Very true indeed Darth_Llama but if the weapons turn out well it is I who have taken the risk and it is I who may potentially benefit from selling these weapons. If a WS takes this same risk it is he/ she who will benefit not the customer. Therefore, I believe asking tissues in lieu of payment is excessive given that it is the Customer who bears all the risk. I know my views wont change anything but this is how I view this type of "profiteering".
