Thread: Novice Weaponsmith looking for good $!
Only Master Weaponsmiths make good money. If all you want is money, you're better off selling resources; it's easier and you're less likely to get carpal tunnel syndrome. ![]()

Lets not forget a 2month minimum stockpile of the best resources to be able to be competitve and break even, which is probably getting longer now that ppl can harvest things much more quickly and effeciently!
Oh and a pure novice has bucklies of selling anything of worth, novice with tech4 may get a few sales here and there but otherwise be prepared to fund your WS habit because its going to cost you a lot of $ before it ever makes you any!
I am a Novice WS who is finally seeing the fruits of my labor...After countless hours of grinding I have finally finished the firearms and Crafting trees. For what its worth, You really see the difference in quality when you spend the time to go up the Crafting Tree alongside one other. If you get to Firearms 4, but you only have a +10 weapons experimentation you are only going to getflashy newbieweapons.
If you want the loot starting out, i recommend making mid-level weapons that almost anyone can use. FWG5's sell well, but remember, if yours is on sale at the bazaar for 3K and you only get MAx DMG of 100, you will probably never sell your weapons. Keep the pricing in tune with the product and don't always think that just because you made it someone will buy it for an expensive amount. I made5 FWG5's and5 snubnosed carbines each for 2.5K. The carbines all sold in about 30 minutes and I have only sold 2 of the FWG5's in two days.
Also rememeber your clients...If you sell on the bazaar, you are selling to mid-level players and newbies, most of whom dont have the creds to afford their own personal WS. And, who most likelyaren't certified to use FWG5's or EE3 Rifles. The higher leveled players are beyond using anything that a Novice WS can make so, you wont be able to make much money off of them. You arent going to dazzle a pistoleer or a commando with abazaar level FWG5.
Well as a novice you're not going to be making any fat bank. You're first mission should you choose to accept it is to get your experimentation to level 4 otherwise you'll be a slave to the resources you've chosen to craft with and trust me Scout Blasters that have the same stats as a CDEF don't sell very well. Once you've hit Experimentation 4 it's time to choose what you're going to craft. Most people choose firearms and head up from there. I would highly recommend avoiding munitions as they're really not a big seller. If you chose firearms crafting and have gotten your experimentation to 4 some of your weapons will be salable to the newbies. Remember that newbies don't have alot of money so selling that d18 speed 3 damage 20-50 pistol shouldn't cost them an arm and a leg. Price your guns to sell and you'll start making money which is great because to get to that point you've probably spent a great deal of time and money on the resources to get here.
The big money comes from being a master. I would suggest becomming a master artisan while you're working out the grind so that you can sell electronics and repair kits to keep you in some kind of dough.
If you want to make weapons and make money be a master weaponsmith, if you just want to make money be a master artisan and sell resources and crates of powerups.
