I've got a friend who wants to have a some krayt pistols made, but is wondering how many tissues he'll need for each pistol. Can anyone help? He wants a FWG, DX2, and a Republic Blaster (I think I got the names right...never held a pistol myself).

Thanks in advance.

Not going to happen... That's one of the biggest and most talked-about changes in the last patch next to mounts and cities. Maybe even moreso.

The FWG5 can no longer be enhanced with krayt tissue since the last publish. So unless you find one made beforehand, there's no way to get a krayt FWG5. It's just not possible any more.

I found a post that says 5 tissues are needed for the DX2, and I now know FWG's can't be enhanced with Krayt tissue. According to SWGCraft.com a Republic Blaster needs 2 identical blaster power-handlers, so we would need 3 identical tissues then, right?

Here's a general rule. If a gun takes one power-handler, it takes one tissue. If it takes more than one, then add 1 handler more than what it takes since you need at least one for a schematic - sometimes more if you fail.

Of course I meant tissue. Add one more tissue. Not handler.

Because neither of us are weaponsmiths and have no idea how the tissues are involved in the crafting, so wouldn't know to look to see how may power handlers are needed.

Why get such an attitude when asked such a simple question? (Simple for a WS who would know of such things that is.)

In the Weaponsmith Forum FAQ (sticked at the top of this forum), in the section entitled "non-WS questions" there's an answer to the very question you asked. I'm entitled to give youattitude if you ask questions that are answeredin the FAQ.

Why doesn't your friend come and ask himself? Or go ask a weaponsmith in-game? Or go to SWGCraft.com and look up how many power handlers go into the weapons he wants? (Each Krayt tissue goes into one power handler, so he'll need at least one tissue per handler required by the schematic for that gun.)

Because he doesn't have access to a computer during the day so I told him I'd try to find out for him.

correct, and a republic isnt a junker like the DX2 and has a higher damage base so you get more bang for your buck (no pun intended) .

You seem like a helpful bunch so perhaps one of you can enlighten me on some things...

I'm a Master Swordsman and am the proud wielder of a scythe, but I find something alluring about getting one crafted specifically for me so have set about gathering the necessary components.

From looking at some other posts on this board, would I be correct in saying I need 3 Identical Pastes, 3 identical cubes to go with the scythe schematic and Geo sword core schematic (As well as "basic" materials)?

My questions are thus:

How many uses does a scythe schematic carry?

How many uses does a Geo sword core schematic carry?

What's the difference between white, yellow and green cubes?

What are good/poor values for these?

Is it possible/worth itto use Geo Sword Cores in normal fencer swords (I have a fencer buddy and would like to give him a gift if possible)?

And finally, what are Reinforcement cores used for?
