I suspect he's talking about the FS experimentation tree. I'm only about 2/3 through the first box, but I gave up to go into space. I was grinding heavy warheads, maybe eventually I'll pull my grinding tools and supplies out of my toolchest, but.... I'm heartily sick of grinding, frankly, and since I already have carpal tunnel syndrome, I can't grind for long at a stretch anyways. One reason I decided against Shipwright.
1 run through the toolbar (7 crafting tools) equals about 1000 FSEXP points, once converted. 24 runthroughs to max out before converting. 175 runs through the toolbar for just that first box. I was trying to convince myself to do 4-8 runthoughs a day, but.... Too lazy to pick up the tools again. What really sucks is that WS's don't pick up any exp during normal weapon manufacturing, and I do very little hand-crafting. I don't even appear to get exp for making schems, which is mostly allI make. The XP I get from the little bit of loot-crafting I do only amounts to agrain of sand on Tatooine.Unless... Can I grind while flying in space? hmmm.... I just may have to check on that...
Us crafters would be ecstatic if they brought back factory XP, or even usage XP.

Would love to hear your stories about what you crafted, how much resources it took, and how much time you put into this tree.
It's a big grind, thats for sure.
So tell us your story!

I finished FS experimentation. It basically took me an entire weekend just to complete Force Experimentation 4...ouch. I also have Force Assembly 2 and Crafting Techniques 3. I'm taking a break for awhile, until the village shifts to phase 1 again (itsucksbeing ganked by 100 Sith Thugs while trying to convert xp).

I read about people completing the Experimentation tree, but did you notice any difference while crafting yet?

FS Experience shouldnt be easy to achieve, but i feel that they have really wasted an opportunity for all crafters to make some interesting, high quality product.
I spend half my playing time making custom weapons, and the other half killing/looting things - i have already completed one tree in combat lol, but have hardly made a dent in the FS exp tree.
SWG should encourage crafters to make real product and get rewarded for it, rather than sit in a dark room and double click for a month - really where is the gameplay in that.
Perhaps they should give a bigger weighting to the product creation AND also give credit for the prduct being used by other professions.... that would probably level the economy as well, as people would lower their prices to ensure their products were used by people
Mindless grinding totally sucks.
