Well what I wanted to know does anyone selling unsliced weapons do very good ???? Ive been a ws since day one and have never sold to the public only crafted for my guild and now I was wanting to open a vendor and dont want to try and get everything slicer and/or figure prices for sliced weapons so if I cant sell weapons unsliced I am not sure if Ill bother with a vendor. And yes the quality of my weapons compares to the best ws's my server has to offer and Thanks a lot for your replies they are greatly appreciated

They sell very well. If you're not price gouging, you'll sell two or three at a time if you're well stocked =)

i have been weaponsmithing forever and have never had a sliced weapon vendor and i have done extremly well. to me i always figured i would get stuck with to many weapons that would never sell, ie speed slices, so i never bothered.

This is true. I used to only sell nonsliced weapons and while they didn't make me super rich, they made me money. Now that I preslice everything, I make a little more, but get stuck with lots of weapons that won't sell.

sell unsliced weps like nuts... what you wanna do expesily for easy stuff like vibro knuckles, make crates, sell like 25 or so, give em a slight discount for buying 25, they will most likely goto a master smuggler and have him slice them for whatever he wants, and take the best out of that, maybe resell the rest.

this leaves us weaponsmiths in a easy spot, we make money and profit, and they go off and get their "uber" knuckle and still remake back most of their money...

i can never get a smuggler who just slices my stuff.....

which reminds me thats prolly why that powerhammer i made the otherday was low. lol i was compareing it to sliced powerhammers.

Yeah, I give a 10% discount for buying by-the-crate. So, for example, a scatter pistol normally lists for 10k. A crate of 25 lists for 225k (25 x 10k minus 10%). The only thing I don't do this for is C12s. They're only sold by the crate anyway, and I fluxuate my prices depending on how quickly they're selling.

I have both unsliced and sliced weapons, with the makeup about 75% unsliced, 25% sliced.

I have noticed a distinct rise in the sales of pre-sliced guns in the last two months ...to the point where it is about 50% of the entire weapon sales. I attribute it to the lack of smugglers available - most of my customers mention having a heck of a time finding them these days...It is a gimped class, in serious need of makeover - and they all went to become Jedi....

I have also never sold sliced weapons, and I do a pretty steady business. I recently started selling weapons of all kinds by-the-crate, and that has worked out VERY well. You'd be surprised to see what other weapons you'll sell crates of besides PHs, VKs, and C12s.

In my time on Galaxies, I've bought only a few pre-sliced weapons.

5 or 6 power hammers, (before I found a hammer that had -20 to range, and not -45)

and 5 scatter pistols. for grinding Bounty-hunter and pistoleer.

I always buy unsliced, or bring an ass-load of components to the weaponsmith, have them make me something above-average, then have my guild WS slice it, (mad props to both kali'ma and Gallant)

I've been EXTREMELY lucky so far, i've always gotten the slice I wanted, save once, where I had two power hammers, one sliced damage to 517, one got sliced speed to 1.x.

As a consumer, I prefer to buy non-sliced weapons. Hell, I'd rather buy a crate or two have my GF slice them for me and give away the rest to noobs I meet.
