Sure there is. By them for millions from sombody that loots them from places you can't go
Actually do exactly what the hologrinders did. Line up a un turreted small base and camp it. On sunrunner some people did exactly this one reb and one imp base just far enough apart that the npcs did not mingle. The point is simple a couple guilds agree to let the other stomp on the base for long periods of time.
Bounty hunters also paid to have bases laid open for them so they could get the 2000 point slice xp.
I am not sure I understood what you just said Dodece. Do you mean faction NPCs from reb and imp bases drop exp tapes ?And what is it about Bounty Hunters and slices ? Do you mean smugglers can slice terms for them, and the slice acctualy works for the BH ?
not sure how Dodece's post relates to this thread, I have an alt that has killed plenty of NpC rebels and imperials at one time or another and never have gotten skill tapes... but as far as his BH info he is talking about a Bh slicing a GCW base ( opposite faction as the BH) and the BH receives 2000 BH experience (Investigation Tree under BH) which is 5x better than 1 single BH npc mission ...basically this is a role a BH plays to help destroy an opposite factioned base....
...anyways skill tapes I have been able to get In the higher +'s have come from Night Sisters, Force Crystal hunters, Pirates on LOK, BH marks, Tuskens, etc.... all high lvl mobs....and of course the skill tapes they drop are random... you can also loot them just like the borgle cave in other POI caves all over the galaxy it just really depends on luck... only reason Borgle place received a lot of attention is cause Mobs were very weak and if you camped the loot debris long enough eventually something would drop... its all about persistance ....or you could just go find someone who has gotten lucky and make them an offer they can not refuse

No you cannot do a factory run. You get the schem as a random reward (sometimes a different schem) from Mon Mothma in the Rebel Themepark. You just need some identical heavy leather portions and you are good to go to have a tailor make you one.
