I was refering to the fact that most tailors are going to use the schematic on a decent set of hides, thereby getting at least 9 or 10 bandoliers from the run. I've used some similiar leathers making mod'd backpacks as just a novice tailor, and with one schematic (three uses), I was able to produce over 30 packs.

No you cannot do a factory run. You get the schem as a random reward (sometimes a different schem) from Mon Mothma in the Rebel Themepark. You just need some identical heavy leather portions heavy duty clasps and you are good to go to have a tailor make you one.
