Jedi alts
Heh.
I've noticed some new faces on Tempest, but they aren't numerous enough to make up for the outstanding weaponsmiths we've had give up the profession in the last year. I think that with all the attrition, it may just be folks wanting to test the waters and see how much they might enjoy weapon crafting and how profitable it might be (answer: not very for a while).
seems like a lot of the old masters gave a lot of their stuff away to a single person before they left.
<--- needs 1mil more skevon gas please... and abuch of thoranium steel.

Jedi alts who think that WS is an easy cash machine they can just punch the buttons and get the creds. The same is happening for AS aswell. I see handfulls and handfulls of new AS and WS on my server on an alarmingly frequent basis.
Most of them tbh won't be able to cut it, as to be a good master crafter takes time and dedication to your customer and not just slaping schems into factories and loading vendors.

I'm pretty sure I am one of the last 'old' masters on Kauri, but there are several new masters that have cropped up lately,

Epidimick? Things have been a bit slow in terms of weapons on Kauri since Sushi left. I suppose people are still deciding who to make the new 'master' weaponsmith. *shrug*
I do agree though, many many people have been picking up AS/WS (not so much as AS, but enough to be noticed) likely thinking they can make a load of cash on it instantly.

When I made my Jedi alt I had planned on doing WS. Not because it was an easy cash machine, just something I've always wanted to do but never did. I've been so intent on getting jedi since that night I was playing in october and got the system message telling me that someone had unlocked. I remember not having a clue on how to unlock, actually visiting POIs thinking I find something there lol. I've always been dedicated to my proffessions and currently am using 20+ lots for harvestors to start my collection of resources. Only thing is, It may have been a bad idea to do WS and Jedi at the same time.
