Thread: nym enhanced VKs... really are they worth it... i do not think so...

So you get your hands on a really nice VK enhancement...
you get a decent 25% damage slice...
its only around 190-205 damage... and if you get regular VKs, 2 crates of them, and slice them all, and you usually get 1 or 2 35% damage slices... you get up to about 196...
while some people pay millions for these nym enhanced ones, someone else pays... around 300k for crates of VKs and slicing them all...
the question is... is it really worth it, buying the nice nym one and risking it? and do you find that this slicing option affects your business with these enhanced nym VKs?
so what would you do? sell crates of VKs or sell the one or two enhanced ones you make??

But when you strike lucky and use +26 motors and get a 35% slice.. 233 max. thats what makes it worth it.

I'll make the crates and sell them.
I'll also use the Nym motors to make enhanced VKs...but I keep them for myself 
and/or my alt

wow, thanks for all your replys... i didnt know nym motors were so, easily gotten, i tried doing 10 or 20 missions about 4 months ago, with no real loot to speak of... sounds like a really good idea... and it would save me parts/recources just to sell one fancy VK verses 50 regular VKs

Yeah I know its a bit of a rip off to spend 5mil on +26 motors, I got 3 +26 and 4 +20 for 750k All crappy slices so the best is 205 
173 preslice . But still theres always a possibility of getting a ncie slice. Its like saying whats the point in using krayt tissue on a scatter? Just wait till the slice god smiles on you. Like my de-10, yellow barrel, 60 tissues, 31% damage, 433 max = 6mil

Christ almighty, why bother PAYING for the units when you can camp the Nym elite guards for a few hours and garauntee to get at least a set of 5, 6, or 8 +20's and a few +26's or +28's (also high-capacity ABPH units and AFM units). On my old WS alt I got one sliced to 221 max.
Yes they are definately worth it and anything over 220 max dmg people are willing to pay 700K-1mil for.

I love the Nyms motors. Just a few weeks ago I made up 85 Nyms VK's and got them all sliced. I ended up with five over 220 damage, and best of all, a 35% slice on a +28 motor which ended up at 236 damage. That one went for just a shade under 4 million credits.

wow, we have some lucky weaponsmiths here...
i really do think wookiees have less luck... like a luck setting that no one can see...
i really do, i almost never get an amazing sucess ever...
i rarely get loot..
