The Nym motors are only worth it for PVE. With mitigation they barely make any difference in PVP.

I use krayt in scatters when i don't have enough krayted power handlers left to make something worth it. I'd rather make 3 krayted scatters than 1 laser carbine. There what i use the left overs from geos and jawas.

I tell my TK guild mates that if they want enhanced nym VK's then just get buffed and do a nym missions on lok for 3 hours and they should get at least 1 nym motor. I then make them the VK, I save the stuff I loot for myself.
You can also loot other stuff for power handlers and projectile feed mechanisms. I forget the names of the items at the moment, is it energy capacitors or something like that.

Ok they are worth it. Bought 9 for 700k + some high energy capacitor things... like krayt tissue cept +20 max.
Bought 2 more off bazaar for 6k each

Sliced 5 damage sold in 3 hours. 2 for 500k, 1 for 400, 1 for 300 and last (203 max) for 200k. so i wouldve been 6 speed sliced enhanced vks and 1.2mil up if i hadnt bought a berserker rifle (actualy rifle not schem). Anyways seems to me like I have a supplier now

This might actually be more of a question for the TKA profession. All most of us do is dish out the cash for the componets, make them into weapons and then make some profit from it.
The actual results of the weapon would be something a TKA could answer best. I'll refer some of the TKs in my guild to this post and maybe they can give the best answer.
My thinking is that people are lazy and if they have a chance to break 200 with a 20% slice they'd rather go with that than have a chance to break 200 with a 30% slice and thus have to slice many more weapons.

I guess i just have bad loot luck, I've never looted anything better than a loot kit piece in 2 full buff sessions on Lok. If not for the success other people reported in this thread I wasn't even going to bother anymore.

Indeed, I think with server inflation, 100k is what I would cap at per +20 motor. But I usually pay around 50k for +20's, but I also only charge like 200k, but they are unsliced.

Hey there, checked your thread on the VK, is +26 the best looted on your server? I got a pair of +32's the other night on Bloodfin. WIthan ever so lucky 35% slice, they'll turn out 240dmg. But we all know they'll get speed sliced.
