Are the recipes for the current weapons staying the same? Is experimentation changing? I have a butt load invested in resources and loots. I am really curious as to what is going on. Thanks.

One thing I can think of off hand is that you won't be able to use advanced components in weapons that call for basic.

As of yet, we're unable to get WS skills, so we can't see the schematics.
Feel free to keep checking in here, though: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=weaponsmith&message.id=77058
I'll keep it updated throughout the CURB testing with regard to all WS issues.

At least you do not have the problem medics have. The only novice item we can craft requires components from the crafting 1 box, so we can not make anything right now.

That's... annoying. Is the opposite true too? Sometimes I like throwing non-advanced items in place of advanced ones.

not true ^_^ the subcomponents are optional so you can make it without them ^_-

Ugh... this translates to me as "get ready to use more storage space on basic components now if you want to carry a range of weapons for your customers". This is fairly disappointing in that Weaponsmiths are already over taxed on storage space as it is (even with the item limit increase on housing).

Thats good imho, being able to make lower weapons ONLY with the basic components, allows people that are trying to gain in weaponsmith to be able to compete against masters on the lower end of the Weapons Scale.

No they can't, no/less experimentation

Yes they can, they could grind up the experimentation tree first, and make almost comparable weapons.

Basic components can go into weapons that call for advanced, but advanced components can not go into weapons that call for basic. One of the big reasons for this change is that the advanced components can seriously throw a low level weapon out of line, which isnon-optimal when trying to balance low-level content. It will also reinforce the fact that low-level smiths can compete in the supply of low-level combatants.
