It was converted because it was a Weapon Stock or an Advanced Weapon Stock. Those are the two item-types that were fixed, the conversion doesn't care if it was looted or crafted. Form-Fitted Weapon Stocks are entirely different items, but as all other loot-only components they haven't been converted with the CU at all, chances are they'll be converted at a later time, at which point my guess is those stocks will loose the damage-stats as well.
It would probably be nice if the devs could go through every single item marked for conversion on every single server and check if they should indeed be or not be converted, but that's not gonna happen, and that's why your stock was converted just like every other craftable stock in the game.

i would like to see the form-fitted stock keep its damage, honestly. otherwise it really has no benefit over crafted ones other than the -.5 mod, depending on what they set the SAC bonus to. this way it has reason and purpose to be wanted and used. it becomes like a loot component, and is one that every player in the game has a fair chance to obtain.
as for your looted stocks, yeah, the change was made based on the "name" of the items. anything named rifle stock or adv rifle stock lost the dmg modifiers because they aren't supposed to be there.

No it isn't. You have to be imperial, and you need a a bit of luck since those stocks are only awarded occasionally, and you can't do the themepark more than once. That's not "fair chance for everyone", unless you also count buying and selling from players, but that applies to all tradable items in the game.

For those sicko's out there- you can actually bore yourself twice doing the thempark if you speak to the planet record keeper....
Watching paint dry tho.....

the system in place determining which item you get is in effect for every player who does the park. every player has the "option" of completing the park. as was stated, you can do the park twice using the planet recorded. how is this not a "fair" chance for each and every player? no one has any better of a chance than another to gain the reward, and if you choose to go rebel that is your choice. i still don't see the "unfairness" in this.

You're right, it is luck and not everyone gets them. The people that do get them are often pistoleers or melee and have no use for stocks, so they sell them. I have stockpiled over 50 of these stocks paying 100-200k a piece for some because pre-CU they were great for carbines and other things that needed an extra speed boost and lower HAM. I have no desire to go Imperial for a chance for loot, so I paid for them. Now post CU they are a deterent even comparing damage with the 0 dmg post-CU stock. Now you have to chose between damame and SAC as formfitted don't lower SAC. Before the stock fix formfitted were worthless because you could get 40min/40max AND -20 SAC in one stock with no speed penaly. Now they are actually worth something again to people that want a bit more dmg and faster speed but don't care about SAC.

Wow... I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this sort of reasoning seeing as it can be applied to pretty much everything in the game. As an example, by the same token pure crafters getting one-hit incapped when checking their harvesters is perfectly fair, it's their choice to be pure crafters.
