Today, on my frequent shopping trips for resources, I found some Krayt tissues for sale for 300K each. As they looked pretty good I bought all 3.

Went back to my shop, and proceeded to make ABPH's.

1st) Put materials in slots, hit assemble, CRIT FAILURE

2nd) Put materials in slots, hit assemble, great success.

Experiment damage to max, use 2 extra poins in condition CRIT FAILURE

3rd make it through all the above, make an E11 rifle, 3 MODS in damage.

So, for 900,000 credits plus the resources used, I get one mediocre E11 rifle.

How does one ever recover the costs for this, and why would I EVER be attempted to waste money on loot items?

Thats a bad roll. The good makes up for the bad. Always overprice the ones that came out fine to make up for the ones that came out crappy.

What was the stats on those Krayt tissues?

I'm just curious if those were uber tissues, or your server has an inflated economy...

I believe I pay about 60,000 for krayt tissues that are at least +40 to max

The 'cheap' ones run around 200K each and are +30 Max damage, -0.3 Speed.

For 300K you get +43 Max damage, -0.5ish speed

As for 'overpricing' to recover the 700K lost, I don't handle Krayt very often as it is too expensive, so to overprice other weapons to cover the cost will still take months.

I love sunrunner the economy is insanely overpriced. Krayt tissues are obscene. Not to mention anything worth looking at costs an arm and a leg, Please devs hurry bleed this cash out somehow. Tons of good stuff to buy all way overpriced.Lol the lowest I am finding krayt tissues prices at is 400 k and they are not even spectacular ones.

When exactly did this overpriceing start I must have missed it. I used to sell weapons experimentation tapes for ten thousand, Now they are going for three hundred thousand for a plus one.

Try hunting krayt dragons yourself

I can't do it in my server 'cause there is a band of krayt KSers that will come and outdamage you unless you have a fairly large group

Yeah I have hunted krayts before it blows big time, and yet I am told that five people can do it. I have to see this combo at work. Maybe what is needed I dont know is a serious combat overhaul. So five guys cannot take him down, and another group of fifteen dosent fail miserably. Does it strike anyone else that a guy with a rocket launcher has less of a chance with a krayt then a guy hitting it with his fists.

Well its time to go krayt hunting just need to pick a obstacle to hang him on lol.

Ok, first thing, NEVER EVER put left points into condition on a Power Handler. IT DOES NOTHING. Simply pass through those points, and proceed to the next crafting stage.

Now, about cost recovery. I logged in this morning and checked my vendors for any offers made during the last day or so. Theres 9 x +60 damage Krayt tissues sitting there, priced at 500k each. Im a little confused, I dont remember ordering them, nor winning any auctions.

I hit the Ahazi Trade forum, and find that the auction I did bid in, and at the last time I checked, was losing, both people who had bid against me were no longer bidding anyway, the top bidder simply pulled out, and the other guy is quitting the game.

So, I say screw it, and buy the 9 tissues. Theres a quick 4.5mil.

I decide to burn one tissue in a schem to make 8 identical handlers. So Im down 500k at this point, that I need to make back on the remaining 8 tissues.

Fire up the crafting tool, load up the gear, run through with all great successes, click next, and without thinking, I clicked on make prototype, instead of schematic. OMFG, Ive just made a single ABPH, worth 500k.

Ok, 8 tissues left, I go again, burning one to make 7 idents. All cool this time around, I get the schematic made, and I have 7 identical tissues.

I use 5 of them in a DXR6b rifle. Along with a Form Fitting Stock. Base cost of the weapon, excluding what Ive paid for resources is around 2.7mil.

The other two I use in a Republic Blaster. Base cost of this weapon is 1mil.

I need to sell these weapons at no less than 4.5million totaljust to make back the cost of the tissues. There will be no profit for my time or the resources used.

Ive put both of them up on the forums under Auction, but I really dont know if theyll sell.

Same thing we seem to be seeing on Wanderhome. People pay rediculous amounts for the components/ schematics, yet aren' t willing to pay the money for a fully assembled weapon.

Yep krayt tissue prices on Flurry are pretty high. I get asked quite often how come I don't carry krayt weapons on my vendors, and my response has always been it's just not cost affective. I would much rahter make a gun for a player using thier tissues and charge them a fair price than deal with obtaining my own and then hoping someone is willing to pay enough for th eitem made to recoup the costs.

On flurry a +30 tissue goes for atleast 200k... so right there is a mill for tissues for say a dxr6 carb.

Then a ff stock will cost me atleast 100k... 1.1 mill

Add in resources/time/factory time... 1.2mill

Now I have to debate handing it over to my smuggler partner. Is it worth it to roll the dice? Can I even get 1.3 mill for this gun if it gets a 20% slice on it?

Krayts have become entirely too much of an investment on the front end with no real assurance that you will see a single cred on the back end for me to hassle with.

I've seen 2 and 3 man teams take down Krayt dragons.

I've also seen a single player come in and outdamage a 5 man team on a dragon so that single player gets looting rights.
