What's withthe resource table?

On the Shadowfire server I have been looking for Ryll Amphorous Gemstones forOVER 6 weeks and Ostrine Ore for over 4 weeks. I even started another character on the Intrepid server and found Ryll gemstones immediately!

Since both of these are REQUIRED to make advanced barrels and Advanced power handlers it makes it impossible to make high quality weapons on this server.

Gee I am so glad I wasted 800,000 units ofmetal and 16 hours of time to get this TRULY worthwhile skill.

Oh I have an idea - how about weaponsmiths get a new weapon they can make - ROCKS!

But of course I am sure the resource table will only have the required resource for rocks (i.e. dirt) available once every 4 weeks.

For those of you complaing about weaponsmithing, resources not showing 4-6 weeks, & so on, I invite you to look at the Auction going on Corbantis. Prices on some resources have reached, and will exceed, 45 cpu. They have not been seen since the game went live. The only ones who can afford, and are casually throwing this sort of dough around, are WS's. To have a crafting level so overwhelmingly dominant portrays the sad condition of the crafter line in this game.

I am a weaponsmith. I make a good living selling grenades, which are a pain but are easier to make. But I find the one toon, paying 8 million credits (and having the ability to do so & still keep in buissness) for 1 type of resource downright offensive in a GAME where other proffesions are so badly broken.

I don't see it that way. The most prolific crafter on my server is the WS which helps to keep our prices down. On my home planet alone there are over 3 dozen WS listed on the global. That number does not take into account the unlisted WS or the other planets on the server. The crafters I think that are cleaning up are the armorsmiths selling their wares for a minimum 100k a pc or greater and doing this all day long. The highest cost items I haveare rocket launchers that sell for about 30k a pc and take about 3 days with two factories to produce. The one thing I have learned from reading these posts and threads within the forums is that all the different servers are as unique and dynamic as they can be. My server has suffered the lack of certain critical resources since launch but yet has enjoyedsome resourcesthat other servers have lacked. The WS on my server that seem to rake it in are the ones using the AT-ST exploit to gather Krayt tissues and sell them for outrageous sums. I guess afterall is done and said I think this person's post my be true on his server but do not hold water on mine. Your average WS on my server makes enough money to keep making money and very few are getting obscenely wealthy.

Forceone27 I agree 100% with what you say. JackStroud Master Weaponsmith. Also I have having problems getting Blaster Power Handlers from my creats. The last 3 times I made them only 10 will come out, the rest I can not get out. To day was just worthless, crafting not working right and factory's not working at all.

I have this problem with all crated goods. I have to trade them to a friend and have them take the items out for me an then trade them back. Just a work around until they fix it.

I beg to disagree by the way. The people who have the money to buy this? Are the exact same people who are selling it. The one overpoweringly rich class in this game isn't a class at all, it is the resource speculator. Particularly one that doesn't have to worry about balancing out mining the 'uber' resources with the other ones he/she needs to craft goods. They never have to worry about grinding priceless resources because they need the exp. They simply find the best current spawn, plant their harvesters, hoard it for 5-6 weeks until it's a myth and legend to the new set of Masters, and then start selling.

45cpu? Chump change. There are some resources going for 100+ CPU on Ahazi.

Expect that trend to continue until sometime after SWG goes offline, given the current methodology of the spawns. Artificial constrictions on supply create exponential inflation, and pretty much the only way to hand in that market is to do some resource speculation of your own, sadly.

As for me? I've got 30K of Weakem Non-Ferrous, 100K of Emif Carbonite Steel, and 400K of Picami. It's unlikely I'll use all of it before the prices become too strong for me to ignore.

I went to SOE chatroom to seek resolution to an open ticket from quite sometime ago. The matter is unimportant. But if you think you need to know it, I will happily go into the gory details with you.

Well anyways, I asked my questions regarding crafting and weapon skins being bugged. I got no response, room was fast cuz servers were down, so I repeated a few more times to gain a CSRs attention, which I did, after about 1 and half hours.

CSRJohnE directed me to the Dev forum for further help. So I did. I looked and looked there to no avail on issues regarding weapon skins and weapon crafting. Nothing forthcoming, or uptodate. So I returned to speak to CSRJohnE about this; I asked him if he could provide me with a specific link. No, he said coldly. I asked him if he could look at my open ticket. No, he said again. He explained that he was moderating the chat and could not spare the time.

JohnE doesn't deserve to wear CSR infront of his name. Here is why. I was upset that he would so coldly tell me No each time I asked for help, that I wanted to speak to his supervisor. This is the runaround he gave me when I did that.

The first email address he provided bounced immediately. It was [email protected]

Here is the header of that email. Where you can obviously see my POP server trying to send to yours and failing.

So I told John it bounced and asked again, here is his replies.

[PM to CSRJohnE] The following address(es) failed:[email protected]
[PM to CSRJohnE] did I type it wrong or did you?
[PM to CSRJohnE] i am generating a log of the service I recieve from this
[PM to CSRJohnE] may i have your supervisors email address?
[PM from CSRJohnE] [email protected]
CSRJohnE: There is a post on the development forum about todays downtime
[PM to CSRJohnE] so as to not mistype it, i will use copy and paste, this should clear me of the typo fault
[PM to CSRJohnE] <[email protected]>... User unknown
[PM to CSRJohnE] third time now
[PM to CSRJohnE] may i have your supervisors email address?
[PM from CSRJohnE] [email protected]
[PM to CSR-Dominicoc] may I have CSRJohnE's supervisor email address, he has given me 3 bogus emails thusfar that bounce

No answer from the other CSR.

How does an employee who moderates forums forget his Supervisors email address. I am seeking that he be removed from any and all his obligations to SOE. And that in further training of your CSRs that when a person asks for a supervisors email address you do not give a bogus email address.

payingcustomer, your little rant session does not belong in this thread, so I gave you a low rating.
