How valuable would you say the identical cores are? I understand supply and demand in the game but a rough idea would help.

I've heard of DE-10 barrels that are yellow and are special somehow. Is this true? and if so what's special?

Yes.

We don't know, not fully, as the stats are hidden.
Basically, any loot that has it's name in Yellow writing is 'better' than the ordinary loot. Geonosian Sword cores that are more than 25/25. Rancor Teeth that are more than 5/50.
With the barrels, all we can say is that they are 'better'. Usually with better damage. But it could give better speed, or accuracy. You won't know until you use it. And it *could* only be better by 1 point. *shrug*

Is this *always* true though or does it only apply to barrels? Many times I have seen sets of looted components with the same serial numer but ONE of the items is yellow and the rest are white - but the stats all read the same. Is that one yellow component mysteriously better? And if the item has stats listed, does that mean the stats displayed are wrong?

This is always the case with looted items. Only one in a given same-serial set has yellow text. What he's referring to is the DE10 barrel, which only drops one at a time (i think), and the fact that yellow ones have been shown to yield better results than whites.

a few morethings, also in red and parentheses. additionally, i do not see High Velocity Blaster PIstol Barrels (Rebel Themepark Loot) on here. i am not ingame, or i would post the stats. pretty sure the dmg range is 25/25 -.4spd +15 wound and +20 range mods. i think they mirrored the projectiles in everything but dmg.

mine is QUITE that high... still, two +56 (20-97 feed mechs) shards will make two rather nice berserkers.

i would say the rancor teeth are also a 300max on both sides. what i have never seen out of teeth is a negative speed mod. i guess that would make the theoretical max on the speed 0.
