Hey Mor-Dan you sound like me, someone with not enough either patience or thick skin to take on a correspondent job. Let it roll off your back rather than rant and rave about someone taking shots since the person is either a few years older than one of our children or drunk. There's no need to lower yourself to someone else's level by responding to comments such as the one above. I rarely spend enough time to respond to this stuff, but come on with the tag goes a little responsibility. Much like customer service in a rl job, knowing when to stf up helps you keep your job and also tends to keep some people respecting you on the forums. I dont care if you were tired, hungry, or your left ear just got chewed off, BACK AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD, when you are angry since it clearly does not do you justice to respond to such taunts. Good luck if this job becomes yours, imo this forum is by far the nuttiest one out there and i like making weps but damn.
when i WAS corr, i had plenty thick skin. why? because i, too, was once in CS. i know they weren't mad at me. i was just the object they were directing their anger towards. i am a very good choice for that type of job because i understand why the polotics behind the scenes exist, even if i don't agree with them. i may still bear the tag, and i may occasioanlly look into an issue for them since i still have access to do so, but i hardly think anyone here in the WS forum expects me to perform a job i retired from, but just haven't been replaced yet.
and for those who are interested, i finally found a job.
Yeah, may people think as a correspondent you need to take everything personally when someone is angry. I work in customer relations daily for my RL job, and i know that if someone is mad at a situation, and you're the closest person around, you bear the brunt of that, and it is your job to not get upset or retailiate, but to take it in kind, and help out regardless of their personal feelings toward you.
Mor-Dan did a plenty fine job as WS corr, and was a good acquaintance to play on the same server with, he helped me troubleshoot whenever i had a problem, and we bounced numbers back and forth off each other. I was sad to see him retire, as he was an asset to the community, but I understand his reasons.
Oh, Mor-Dan, thanks for the dance suggestion, been doing 3 times weekly since you suggested it, I might be able to keep step with you now ^_-
Why is there a "discussion" where the corro has his own ideas and will put forward those regardless of what players who are still playing (atm) are asking for? Why did he start the thread if he doesnt GAF.![]()
The thread asks for opinions and I gave mine and was beat down by the corro for having a different view, and hes been reported for calling me a baby (after implying I had broken the eula in one of my posts) even though I am infact well past my teens, with better things to do than kiss meglomanics behinds.
In truth I think if a poll were made of this thread then at least a couple of weeks ago the majority of people would have issues with the buff, but I now see the same people have changed their tune having adjusted to the new changes.
This is nothing personal to me, I am not angry in fact, the way things are going, I will not have to worry about finding a buff and the effects of not being force crafting mastery.
I do think that being a weaponsmith/artisan takes a riduculous amount of time and (sarcasticly) apologise for trying to make my ingame time shorter on the labourious tasks and longer on the "fun". I made my jedi full template pre-CU so dont tell me Im a respec nub who winges about getting everything in an instant.
Ive often got tells saying do u want to do this or thatbut Ive said I cant cause Im doing ws/artisan stuff. Having to remake all subcomponents with 2 or 3 amazing success each doesnt help either.
well, as far as finding a buff I have serious troubles doing that. I couldn't find anyone to do it when I was playing.
So, had to do the alt thing with a musician...I know that's not the right solution, but I spent a few hours trolling for one on a few occasions with no success.

i have never pushed my own agenda in the Corr forum.

In truth I think if a poll were made of this thread then at least a couple of weeks ago the majority of people would have issues with the buff, but I now see the same people have changed their tune having adjusted to the new changes. you're 100% correct. this is just the way things are. every group of players has a % of "chicken little"'s in it who think with every patch or change that the sky is going to fall on their head.
This is nothing personal to me, I am not angry in fact, the way things are going, I will not have to worry about finding a buff and the effects of not being force crafting mastery. it wasn't anything personal to me either until you verbally lashed out at me, and probably still would have been had i not read it after having been up for almost 20hrs. the more irritable i am, the faster i fly off the handle. no hard feelings...
