That's been bugged since last month's big patch. The general/weapon/droid tool seems to be able to create any item, but you can't experiment on or make schematics of non general/weapon/droid items with it.

almost master now...awesome macro

If someone approached you about washing your hair, what would you say to them? I'll tell you what you should say. You'd say 'Thanks, but no thanks.' I don't need large brains to have a good time. You wanna be groovy? Huh? You wanna fit in? Wanna go to the big dance? Wanna be the king? You'll be the fool! Shampoo will play you for the fool!

I'm having exactly the same problem Milkent is. The macro accesses my tool and opens the correct schematic, but after I put in the resources, the macro stops dead or ends my crafting session. Um... wha?

Thanks for any advice.

And no, I'm nowhere near a crafting station. Are there spaces in the /nextcraftingstage line that weren't in the post?

Peace,

Z

I've followed MANY macro threads since I grinded through Medic, Combat medic and Doc crafting trees and the single most common issue is that /nextCraftingstage works for half the people and not the other half..

Some people suggested I was near a crafting station so I ran into the middle of Talus with nothing around me for 1000s of meters.. still didn't work

Then someone suggested adding a 3rd or 4th /nextCraftingStage into my macro, that didn't work either..

Basically I ended up settling for a macro to fire up a crafting tool, selecting my schematic, and pausing while I load my resources and hit ENTER on my keyboard a few times and then looping all over again..

Uh, so WE don't want it, and YOU don't want it in for PvP--then why is it still there??

Oh, before I forget.. you can also test your macro line by line by typing in the appropriate /command..

Meaning, open your crafting tool, type /selectDra ## and hit enter and it will select that ## schematic..

You can do this step by step in your macro if you're having a problem. Nine times out of 10 if you keep getting errors about already crafting or it just eats resources its because of something simple like a spelling or CapiTaliZation error in the syntax. It skips such things and you usually just get a string of /pauses or /selectDraftschematic commands..

I don't usually gush over stuff like this, but thank you so much for this macro...

It freaking rules!!

For those of you that cannot get it to work, I sympathize with you very much. It took me about an hour of troubleshooting to get it to run, and than another hour for me to get it just right as far as the pauses and the schematic selection.

I agree wholeheartedly when people say that 99% of the errors come from a missed capitilization or a word slightly misspelled. Look it over carefully...it works.

i'm probably missing something stupid but question: when i start my macro i have a /pause 3; so i expect a 3 second wait but it waits like 15 secs and i get 2 crafting station have ended messages, then the 3rd one pops up i put in my resouces and it says can't find hopper??? then it skips 2 more and repeats the process... what am i missing on the macro? or has anyone else had a problem with this? i have checked my spelling, i have changed my pause times, added and/or subtracted /next... commands. any thoughts?

For the people having trouble, for me it says every time, "crafting session has ended" and kicks me out of the crafting tool, the last screens never show up. However, I do get XP for it. So look at your XP, run the macro, then see if your XP went up at all. Also, make sure you are grinding something that gives weaponsmith XP, like a projectile rifle barrel instead of something like a CDEF component which gives artisan XP.
