Thread: The Penultimate Guide to Weaponsmithing
Great guide, well done. Thanks for posting it.
Oops, except for one little thing. You need 'Crafting Tools' in the action bar and not 'Crafting Stations'. This might cause some confusion.

AH! The joy of figuring out your draftScehmatic #. LOL. NO definitive answer. With the cu, at least the schem numbers stay the same when you log back in. Used to be a day when if you logged out and logged back in at another time, the number would change and you had to play with it again.
Dont forget, everytime you change a skill, the numbers may too. so play away and good luck. Also remember, that the amount of schems you can craft are increased when youre near a crafting station. So summary, grind away from the crafting station. Less schems to toy around with means that you should be able to find the schem you want quicker.
note. I respeced my master architect to a master ws and then regrinded architect. lol.
Gotta find ways around this game. lol

this would be fine if all the new changes hadn't taken place...
Just a note to all those trying to use the macro: I am using it without any problems and only a slight rewrite, with a crafting station, in my house and making Heavy Warheads. Make sure to add the extra/nextcraftingstage; and make sure all your macro code is correctly capitalized.
As for finding the schematic, I find it changes everytime I train, so I made a macro that just goes through and selects a range of 10 schematics in turn, and has my character say the schematic number outloud. When I train up in a skill - knowing I will gain some new schematics, I increment the numbers in this macro then run it, closing the window each time until I find the right one (counting them in the datapad didn't seem to work for me). Then I update the schematic in the crafting macro to the correct value and away we go...
Oh and yeah there does seem to be a cap on exps you can get, so after a certain point I am forced to go train. Keep any eye out on the total, it seems to be related to how high your highest skill box trained is (ie if the top box requires 77k exps, then the cap is 77k + x amount (120k I think it was for me).
I have 5 boxes left to do to get Master Weaponsmith and I expect to get them tonight. Thats about 3 days of playing (during double xps) for reasonable amounts of time per day to get Master. I am most impressed with the macroing suggestion. I was lucky though and found a lot of 100k of Thoranium Steel, and 50k of Hydron-3 and 70k or so of Skevon I think.
Its a bit dull but defintely better than when I first ground up Droid Engineer when the game came out - Advanced Droid FramesFTW ![]()
