Oh, wonderful guide LOL, I find people love to write newbie guides but hate to have to think a little. I wanted to find out what the difference on a rifle barrel is with these stats: -0.32 vs. -0.45 on speed. God, good help is hard to find, and so is useful information beyond, "I have to collect resources," and "Price sliced weapons higher." Also unadressed in this "Penultimate" guide is stocks. Should I include a stock on my flamer, or is it not worth it because of HAM? What are the "gates" for the weaponsmith resources? That's important because you may be passing up a metal that doesn't go any higher in your needed stat. Sure, someone is going to give easy answers for my post and say I'm stupid, but who what would you, Mr. Weaponsmith, rather have answered, some of these questions, or, "How can I look at my data pad to see what stats are needed for guns?" and "Oh, melee requires SR," hmm I could have never have figured this out on my own. I AM REQUESTING A GUIDE FOR MASTER WEAPONSMITHS... PLEASE HELP

Ummm....Since publish 9 is anyone else having problems with their crafting macro? It selects either schem 001 or the last schem in my data pad no matter what I put in the command line ie:

/sel xxx. Has anyone found a fix or way around this?

Thanks, Ascilozo

I wrote out the macro, and the only thing I changed was making it say /next; three times rather then /nextcraftingstage; twice, because it didn't work at all before. So now it works for only two tiomes and then it says "crafting session has ended" and it does not continue. Everything is the same, so If it goes to the second one, why woulnd't it go to the third?

I fixed it, the problem was that the word slot wasn't capitilized, but now it works up to the 8th slot, it does the same thing as before and I checked an there are no spelling errors. It says in the chat box that there is no command "/next", so I changed it to /nextcraftingstage, but it just says there is no command "/nextcraftingstage". It should work since its the same as the others... Can anyone help me?

Yeah in order to get the whole macro to work as it is written, you need 9 crafting stations instead of 8. And put these in F4 - F12. Then it will work perfectly. It works as it stands, but you'll be typing to much Just add a crafting station and you use all of it

Chapter 2: The Grind

Weaponsmith items grant the lowest amount of experience and use the least amount of resources. This profession requires a lot of clicking, moreso than many other professions. For the grind alone, plan to have roughly 500,000 units of Steel for the basics. A few notes: Hand-crafted weapons give UXP (usage experience, the experience granted when someone else uses your item), items crafted in factories give no UXP. One-use items, like Weapon Upgrade Kits, give full UXP the instant they are used, provided they were hand-crafted and not made in a factory. Additionally, items crafted in factories only give you 10% Weapon Crafting experience that you would get for hand-crafting the item. Lastly, Practice Mode gives a 5% experience bonus to hand-crafted items.

This ofcourse came from the FAQ posted at the top. Does UXP still exist?? Does it work with weapons made?? Is it a one time UXP gain?? In other words do we stillgain this UXP??? I'm new to the WS proffesion and looking for answers..lol

well theres one thing wrong with the guide since med and heavy warheads require a crafting station(don't know if they did while you did this guide but now they do) so you can't use a macro cause that will not make the item. Unless there some command to get it to select protoype when it asks for a option to experiment etc... so you basically can't use a macro while doing this
