Hmm I experienced something very strange.


I started experimenting on some Power blaster handlers and at first it didnt update as exspected, but I think around my 6th point it suddently did and I didnt tap out or anything...


Anyone else tried this?

I did some ship parts last night and the stats updated sometime between the 4th and 6th experiment point. Of course then the server had "issues"since when I tried to swithch characters I couldn't get back on because the server was "loading" for over an hour. I was afraid they'd done a rollback but everything was in place this morning. Did some weapon subcomponents and the stats would update on the 4th experiment point each time. Very annoying but not game breaking for me. I pretty much know where my caps are.

Okay did some more testing. Seem the stats are updating on subcomponents (at least those Ive tried) but not on the final combine...

Same here. What I want to know is why there is even an issue with the exp not working right. I read the publish 20 notes again just now and there is nothing about any fixes done to crafters. This is like taking your car in for an il change and having it come back a different color. How can the devs be this bad? They didn't even touch experimentation in the update and yet somehow they broke it ROFL. I guess thier devs are that stupid huh?






As a programmer by trade, it's my professional opinion that when they fixed theImage Designergui issue, they modified a subroutine that EACH and EVERY CLIENT uses to update the client screens at a very basic level. This is the 'fix' I'm talking about:

  • Image Designers will no longer see other players avatars in the user interface as swimming

Apparently they modified the code for ALL interfaces instead of just the specific interface used by IDs. It should be easy enough to fix if they back out this change or limit/localize it to the particular ID window.


It's also possible that due to the CTDs that ppl got when trying to play yesterday, they backed out a dll which had a fix for this.

Don't worry i know that. (offtopic)I did a study to become a programmer but it's not made for me doing network hardware now much more fun) I know how this works and how most of the bugs that excist are caused by fixing or changing other things. But that doesn't take away why either the devs are to chicken to say anything to the management or the management is so stupid that they push everything to live.


And about the entertainer props well sorry but bf healing was much and much more importend then props or new dances. My crafter is also a dancer. And i enjoy the social part a lot. But for some people it's basicly the only icome they have there are many dancer/music/id's and forcing combatants to go to a cantina to get healed was perfect. some will like it some won't but everybody will do it. After the servers came back up the cantina was loaded with people wanting to see the changes but after 30 mins they left not to return. I spend 3 hours in there well and people came and went. But today it's empty and boring. bla i'm just spitting out text. Well basicly because i'm seeing the game i love getting destroyed. I love enteraining and crafting if those go i stop playing.

Ditto. With the "Workaround" I can get components to update......eventually. But have yet to have the final product update at all.
