Ok, I haven't yet experimented with Krayt tissue yet, but I notice in the beginning list that there are no Melee weapons listed. Can you NOT use Krayt tissue in a Melee weapon?
Krayt tissue goes in a Blaster Power Handler. Melee weapons don't use Blaster Power Handlers.

I got 5 nice krayt tissues and i was wondering if i can krayt 2 DE-10 pistols with 5 tissues. Out from what ive read you here you can, (1 schematic, 2 for pistol) but since the DE-10 is a special pistol maybei need more tissues?

Great post! I've been wondering for the longest time as to how and what I could use krayt tissues for in weapons.

Ok, all fine and dandy to know how many Krayt Tissues go where, but i have a more fundamental question: how to get them. I know I have to kill a Krayt Dragon, but then what? DoI just loot the carcass, or do I need Scout skills to harvest the Tissues. And if that's the case, do I harvest meat or what?
I'm currently working up some Commando skills, will that be enough for me to solo a Krayt? Any vulnerabilities on a Krayt I should be prepared to exploit? Any particular kind of Krayt that's easiest to kill but will still yield Tissues, even if only the base variety? Any type of Krayt I should ignore because it never yields tissies?
Any favorite Krayt hunting grounds? I tried the Krayt Graveyard, but found nothing. And if there's a thread somewhere dedicated to killing Krayts, can someone point it out to me?
I'd be grateful for answers to any of those questions.

That deserves a sticky just for the Weapon Requirement listing alone. I've been looking for that information for a few days now, so I would know just how much of a hit my wallet ought to be taking.

DarkmanNDN wrote:Ok here is my dilema... are krayt tissues WORTH it?I have been master WS for a while now.Now I dont claim to be the guru on it, but I think I can hold my own.Example 1.Republic BlasterWe all know what it takes, but for argument sake I will detail everythingThis is what I used to make itWe all know that making guns, Conductivity and Overall Quality is important, so I will only show those on my resources used.35 Units of Plumbum Iron - Conductivity 10; Overall Quality 984;18 Units of Duralloy Steel - Conductivity 571; Overall Quality 988;7 Units of Plantite Copper - Conductivity 903; Overall Quality 907;1 Advanced Blaster Pistol BarrelMin Damage - 14Max Damage - 14Attack Speed - (-0.69)Wound - 8Zero Range Mod - 0Maximum Range Mod - 0Ideal Range Mod - 102 Advanced Blaster Power HandlersMin Damage - 18Max Damage - 37Attack Speed - (-.36)1 Advanced Weapon ScopeWound - 3Ideal Range Mod - 30Special Cost Health, Action, Mind = 30 (for all 3)Now the out come of this combination was a Republic Blaster withAttack Speed - 2.6DamageMin - 65Max - 203Wound - 28.3%RangePoint Blank - +0 @ 0mIdeal - (-5) @ 0mMax - +0 @ 64mSpecial Attack CostHealth - 38Action - 69Mind - 39Thats not bad for a republic blasterI made a krayt version of this, using -.3spd, +30 Max dmg tissuesThe power handlers were(i forgot the speed)Min - 18Max - 58Using the SAME resources and SAME components (from crates) and also getting GREAT successes on my experimentation....I produced this republic blaster.Attack Speed - 2.4 (-.2 with tissues)DamageMin - 65Max - 230 (+ 27 with tissues)Wound - 28.3%RangePoint Blank - +0 @ 0mIdeal - (-2) @ 0m (did a little better here)Max - +0 @ 64mSpecial Attack CostHealth - 38Action - 69Mind - 39So after looking at all this.... using THREE (1 for schematic) krayt tissues (-.3spd, +30 Max dmg) resulted in -.2 spd and +27 max damage...Now I think we should consider the fact that this is a pistol and the speed is important. I also understand having a pistol that does about 400Max dmg with a speed of 2.4 is crazy.... but would be cool.So is this a good combine for a krayt tissue blaster?the old pistol is 203 @ 2.6 = 78 dmg per attack spdthe krayt pistol 230 @ 2.4 = 95 dmg per attack spdKrayt tissues arent cheap, so how much should I jack up the price, you know?Just something to think about. My guild and I will be doing some experiments with all kinds of tissue. So I'll post my results
Can any WS do this with a laser carbine?

Nice guide I found it useful and thought I would kick it to the front page.

I've got a question that I've never really been able to figure out, and I'm sure someone could answer it for me here -
[assuming I was using a base tissue] is the +30 / -0.3 static (ie. Added to the final damage after experimentation), or does experimentation alter the total speed and damage. (Ie. If the origional output is 100 max damage on a non-krayt, and I experiment it to160 max damage, if I krayt an identical weapon, and assume that all experimentations yeild the same result [ie. 10 "great" experimentations, resulting in a 60% improvement] will the max damage be unaffected [190 max damage], or [130 (base) x [10 x 0.06 (great exp)] = (130 x 1.6) = 208?
Sorry if this is confusing, I'm sure someone can help! (Maybe with the new Krayt boom someone can justify wasting a few tissues to experiment)
