Encirp that is a very nice gun you crafted,now to respond to the rest of your hijacked thread.
Personally i have never felt that even krayt loot should be as prevalent as it is.There has been a few statments in this post about how veteran weaponsmiths are rewarded by having the good resources,last i checked we still have to go out and find them.
Spending hour after hour,day after day checking each planet and surveying countless resources to find the best one isnt a reward its a commitment to weaponsmithing which alot of you newer weaponsmiths do not understand.
I have been a master weaponsmith since oct. 2003 and let me tell you gathering all my resources has been a long and difficult journey.
I STRONGLY object to people who find or obtain loot on a regular basis and with inferior resources can outcraft my weapon which i can get up to 98% damage.This isnt to say i havnt crafted weapons with looted components,quite the contrary but i do not like to have to do it.
For those who say well all weapons should not be the same i ask you to please look at the weapons of today.Other than caliber most weapons ARE exactly the same.While some people feel that certain weapons are more accurate there isnt one SINGLE weapon that stands out so much it can dominate the market.
It has been my contention that crafting should be a combination of skill,marketing and customer relations.These drops remove all of these factors and in my opinion diminish the quality of the whole merchant-weaponsmith experience as it is now only a matter of making the single bset weapon.
Im sorry if i have offended people,im sorry if you do not agree with me.All this is,is my hope that our market does not continue on a downward spiral as crafting was and always will be my one reason for playing this game.

I have to agree with Mor-Dan. These new power cells are too overpowered. IMO the power cells should only have 2 stats on them as do krayt tissues.


Orre-define krayt tissue and power cells to have 3 random stats out of min damage, max damage, speed or SAC but one of the stats has a detrimental affect to the weapon ie tissue has +50 min damage, +150 max damage +10 SAC or in any other combination

The only ROTW weapons I couldn't outcraft before were the melee ones, and this doesn't help that. TBH, you don't even need that great of krayt to beat a lot of the ROTW weapons in a big way if you can craft worth a darn.

Frankly, I find this sick because it'll yet again lead to people wanting the "uber" gun with the "uber" loot that just requires you to max out the rows. I thought we had separated ourselves from that by splitting damage/speed and making HAM matter again, but I guess the concept of trying to balance a weapon to the needs of a customer is too hard for some people and they just want to cap everything instead.

Summary: Freakin' lame

Not sure it was said... but add even more power, to the over powered cells or casings... I looted a set of 9 scopes ( +67 acc, -.79 speed, 9 wound). Stick one of those on the already overpowered enhancers...


Yah,I think the stuff needs to be tuned down a bit, and I have not even looted any of the cells/casings yet.

I must admit, my first thoughts with these new loots were.... I'm sorry to admit $$$$ - I was one of, if not the first WS on our server to use these and auction some of the weapons and didvery well out of them.


Now I must admit.... I can see thisturning WS into an even more generic proffession than its already become.


Pretty much everyone with any cash already had damage capped weapons.... now theywill all damand and have damage and SAC capped weapons, with insane accuracy mods.


Those of us who have invested millions in Krayt and Gorax enhancements are going to see the value of these drop considerably. Less and less people are going to be happy with anything that isnt enhanced....


I don't think this is going to be good for the proffession in the long run at all... it may be a quick buck but the bubble is going to burst if things don't change soon.

I really don't think the sky is falling, guys.


This stuff is far less common than krayt and gorax drops. I got lucky on day 2 and found 2 sets of casings off of two "boss" level mobs... one of which was a bear to kill.


I haven't seen anything since, and I've been running these non-stop. In fact, I got a set of 6 gorax bones off of a gorax I just happened to run across while tracking another mark on Endor. (that guy dropped a bottle of edible bugs and an RIS poster.)
