Me NO! I already told you that Scythes cost me 300k each to make! Why would I want to make a 250k loss on a weapon I can quite easily sell for 600k+? I'm not in the business of losing money, and if you are as desparate as you say you are, you can get a buff for 15k and go and do some missions like the rest of the galaxy instead of whining and begging.

What really got me was his response to my rant. At the very least I expected some mindless slander and abuse but no, just an ok thx. I couldn't help but feel let down.

He I know this guy, I have had the same questions a few days ago

Dude: Do you sell scythes?

Me: Yepp there are about 10 on my vendor varying between 500k and 1000k.

Dude: Can I have one?

Me: Just go to my vendor and look for yourself to find one that suits you.

I got a tell like 30 mins later.

Dude: There are not 500k to 1000k, they are 500000 to 1000000 that's not what you said!!!

Me: DUH 500k==> K=1000 so 500*1000=500.000.

Dude: Oh can I have one for 3000 credits because you have 10 of them and you are a rich WS.

Me: NO but look at my cheap sliced weapons vender and buy a cheap sliced PH (only 2.5k=2500 credits) and go and hunt some so you can afford better weapons.

Dude: Why won't you help me, because I am a noob??? You are a rich WS,a dn you have 10 Scythes, you must give me one!!!1!

Me: I also have 6000 Vibro Knucklers and 4000 Power Hammers wanna trade 1000 of each!!!!!!!!

No respons after that hehe

Man what do those newbs think, that we give away everything because we have so many of them, hehe, like they do that in RL.

LOL its not like WE work hard to get OUR money. Noobs forget that we were noobs too (but with much less to work from) we worked damn hard to get our skills and money. I think even noobs should work hard to get what they need (whats the point of playing the game if your not going to enjoy getting money?). I hate beggers and I hate people that won't take no for an awnser.

One day I got a message from a dude that wanted my stromtrooper helmet.
I told him "its will cost ya about 300k"
poor sap (litteraly) wanted to pay 40k for the thing. He woundn't shut up and he woundn't stop folliwung me. I had to finally took the guy out hunting to get him off my back.

Well Congrats on your tactful success I had this one a day ago:

Me: Sure if you mean newbie weapons, CDEF's and such lol. I'm only a novice.

CL1: Can you make me an Uber CDEF Carbine?

Maybe it was fate or i had my Rolling on the floor macro on but i couldnt get up for at least 10 minutes.

I ended up giving him my old DLT20a because of it.

2 minutes later an email was sent to me telling me i was the first person to ask him a polite and intelligent question and there was an attachment of 100k. then he gave me a swoop. (this was alot for me considering the most i had had so far was 5k)

this goes to show for all of you people who posted here that MWS are grumpy, they aren't, you just have to ask questions that are intellegent.

me: yes I can but I don't have any barrels at the moment and you can only loot them in the Death Watch Bunker on Endor

player: oh ok

pause 5min

Same Player: I got some really good krayt tissues can you put them in a DE-10 for me

me: Ummm... no I still don't have any barrels (because us CL 1s can go and own the DWB in 5 min)

Player: well can't you craft them

me: no the barrels for the DE-10 are looted alone, and you are probbaly better off putting your krayt tissues in a different gun. Post-CU the DE-10 is only a level 40 weapon.

Player: oh ok, then can you just make me a normal DE-10

me: No sorry, like I said earlyer I have no barrels

Player: Well let me know when you can make me a DE-10

me: Ok

pause 5-10 min

Same player: Can you make DE-10s now

Problem Solved

I was in Mos Eisly yesterday, setting up a house and vendor for when i have enough stock. I was struck by the amount of 'noobs' wandering around confused and not a few begging. They weren't leet types but somewhat pushy. I had my Master Tailor tag as i have all i need to craft clothes and ended up clothing a poor little Twi'lek girl with over a dozen socketed custom items for 1k. I am a soft touch, I know. They were pushy and ignorant. One fellow was wandering around asking how come he wasn't getting scoutxp. I was holding someone elses hand at the time and he wandered of before I could explain harvesting organics to him. I half wonder if he had nov scout in the first place. I had this CL7 fellow wanting to get imperial armour, he freaked when I asked if he had a spare million and a half. I then explained as best I could the novice elite requirments for armour and the faction point system.

These kids are going to be angry about stats and prices I think because they are used to the fps style of game which this isn't and the promotion techniques of the marketing team will have given them unreallistic expectations. They dont know what or why we cant give them what they want. They will feel ripped off and not without justification, but it is not we crafters that have done so but the 'dream-makers'at SOE who have sold them an image of the game that it isn't strictly true. However these new players won't know this and some will no doubt turn on crafters in ignorance and in pain. I can only advise turn off your 'Master xxxxx' title, make your character anonymous and make soothing sounds when confronted whilst hitting the burst run icon.

Or you could tell them to go the krayt graveyard to pick up some tissue or pearls that the dead krayts leave when they die. Eh.

Anyway I don't think the ignorant questions are going to reduce in frequency in the near future.

I only have one so far. I guess its the price I pay for not being that well known.

As you know, a long game session leads to a few afk sessions. I was afk less then 2 minutes. I get a tell shortly after I get away from the sound of the tell.

Yes, the guy was sending me a tell from another server, at first I thought it was a friend yanking my chain. So I reply back messing around, who would have thought I would be getting weapon orders from other server.

me: ok, dont shop at my vendors I dont care. (I was messing around, thinking it was a friend)

me: Oh, right, hows the wife and kids? (like "its me" answered the question of who me is)

Relising who it was after a few seconds of my brain in over drive. It was a noob I helped the day before. He wanted a weapon, a good one and had 2k. So I gave him a few weapons free and a speeder. He walked 3k to my shop, getting killed twice and cloneing back to point A. I felt sorry for him. So now I am confused cause hes sending me tells across servers, then threatening not to shop at my vendors again, which he has yet to do the first time to have an "again."

me: how do you suppose I get it to you? you are on a different server.

knowing I am in way too deep now.

me: go do jabbas theme park, he gives them away free, and you get some nice loot and money

have yet to hear from him again, let alone a purchase from him, or an "again" purchase. That conversation has caused brain damage I know it.

I have another, but its not exactally WS specific. I assume most people think one profession goes with another and assume if that person is one they are the other. Like some WS are also AS and some DE are Archs. I am a DE/WS.

I was running through Theed one morning, I had my MDE tag up, no clue why, I usually dont have a tag on any of my toons.

bob: hey

me: hello

bob: are you an Arch?

me: nope

bob: do you have any equipment factories?

me: nope (asking if I am an Arch then asking about factories, puts 1 and 1 together hes shopping for them)

bob: then how do you make stuff?

me: in factories

bob: sell me one

me: I dont have any for sale

bob: sell me one of yours

me: no, I only have 5,thats how I make my money, not to mention they are working, filled with parts and resources and I have over half a million maintenence in them each.

bob: so is that a no?

me: yes

bob: so you do have one for sale?

me: no, i do not, i an not an arch, i have no factories for sale, all mine are busy, I am not selling any, you can not have mine, find an arch, use the planet map and find one, they are around, I have found them, thats where i got my factories

bob: I just need one

me: /logout (I was just passing through Theed to get home, I was logging for the night anyway)
