I would concur. Krayt is the new sliced. With the spawn rate segments, scales, tissues are way to common. It was done because the Jedi complained not enough pearls were out there...Trying to balance the economy. Nerf mission pay out no one has hundred millions to spare anymore, got up the output that way the cry stays relatively low.

Gurantee at this rate in three months you wont sell if it isnt Krayt inclusive.

If krayt weapons do indeed become the norm, then for ranged weapons WS will be nothing more than assembly monkeys for the people bringing their backpacks full of tissues to us.

One problem though.','whats that?', It's gonna take you 4 months to grind rifleman becuase you only play two hours a night after work man.','Dude. So worth the wait.'" When did the world cater to the impaitent young soul that wanted his Red Rider BB gun for his birthday and not Christmas? When did the world say its ok, lets make it eaiser for Coyote to catch the RoadRunner?

Sure its a game, we know this, that supposed to mean its easy? Nay I SAY!! (cough cough..sorry, NyQuil.)
In many ways this game is perfect in so many ways. It caters to the twitch, the 'I only got an hour to play on any given night
crowd', the Riven people, the D and D people, the people that want THEIR life in star wars to come true.

It sounds more and more like catering to the impatience of the new instead of the people
who gave it a chance in the beggining. (30 years old and I still cant spell that word on the first try).

If this is something that is both hated and loved, then I say make it a 'Migration' period.
You know like not having any good Link Steel since frigin launch. And they wonder why I went Bounty Hunter.
Point is you spoil folks for too long they get use to it and it ruins what it was.
Dont ruin what it was. It was something special. Something that had to be organized in advanced without much
chance of Success. DO we hunt the Kryats becuase they make us a crap load of money?!?! Well, ok maybe a little.
Personaly, I had my Guild Leader say he felt like quiting for awhile, but then we did a small Guild hunt
on a Kryat. Becuase of the money? No. Because our weaponsmith could benefit from it? No. We did it becuase it was
FUN. As a result, our Guild Leader was REJUIVINATED!!! (BG)

Dont kill the fun man.

This is so very true. Complaints of not enough loot and the gamepeople bump the population, and the loot drop way up to please everyone. But they dont examine what it does to the game. I have more krayt lying around in the past three days than I can craft with. I have one factory that has phirk, ostrine, diatnium, polymer, and that gas running full speed. I just switch schematics, drop more krayt and keep it running. At first I was like "oh cool, finally nice swatches of krayt." but then i noticed most of what i get is +40 damage and -.45 speed or better...And now there is so much we will see a flood of krayt weapons, making the value of the weapon decrease *(regardless if we sell it or give it away), as well as placing pressure on the WS to have krayt weapons or not sell. As I said

Krayt=the new sliced.

And let us examined who is gratified from this system...The prepubescent little kids who are too damn impatient because they have grownup in a society of instant gratification and SOE wants their mommy and daddies money to keep rolling it...

Regular weapons become obsolote...the once legendary krayt weapons that your friends own will become all too common. Krayt tissue is the best enhancement to a ranged weapon (gorax shards for mechs) if the best enhancement is so common how do weaponsmiths manage to get some decent money off of enhanced weapons? They need to decrease spawns or drops or make something better than krayt tissue. More content with enhancements would make enhanced weapons that much more unique.

Since this spawn and the future spawn that is now in TC I have very seriously considered not only droping WS but this game entirely and i can garantee several will follow me and for SOEs info those that will follow are all multi account people. I refuse to be an assembly monkey as you call it. From what i understand the reason for the increase was because there wasnt enough pearls to go around which leads us to the same point the fledgling Jedi wanting a awsome enhancement for their saber without haveing to pay their dues. I have discontinued makeing all blaster weapons because i see no future in it. The recent influx of Krayt tissue on the market has made my weapons obsolete and imvery upset about thisbecause i had some realy sweet Nyms enhanced modles. All my non krayt blaster weapons are about to be destroyed because they are worthless. If you want to please the inpatient jedi population there was a better way to do it. instead of increasing the spawn rate, which inturn has destroyed the weaponsmith profession, dev could have made pearls drop in sets like tissues do. Instead they have chosen a path will lead to the downfall of the blaster weapons market. SOE if you keep this up you will loose all your old players and will be left with a population of people that have only just begun to play and that my friends is very dangerous. Us vetrans have stuck with your game and proven that as long as were treated fairly will be here paying your 15 bucks a month per account (and remember most of us older players hold multiple accounts) till the game is gone; but with curent developements i have heard more and more vetran players say that enough is enough. You are looseing your true bread and butter SOE if you dont take action soon.

I didnt want to be the first to throw the spear so to speak. but I completely agree here is another example of how the whining minority dictate how the majority must play the game. When I start thinking about how the krayts were pumped up to provide more pearls it makes me pissed. IS ANYTHING SACRED ANYMORE?!? CAN ANYTHNING NOT BE COMMON?!? SHOULDNT SOMETHING BE FEKKING RARE EXCEPT "LEGENDARY" AND "EXCEPTIONAL" DROPS?!? SOE what are you thinking? Some insight if you will as to why you specifically bumped up the krayt spawn...

I think the DEVs should have to post all their ideas on the WS forums, and have us assault it before they put it into development. Maybe then, some of the less logical decision-making will be removed from the system.

Out friken standing Idea. Any change that directly affects a profession should be posted in that professions forum for cretique by the people in that profession. Then a solution acceptable to all involved could be worked out.

with ya boys.....

This is one of the few forums that actually has some structured, logical debate......

Whats wrong with rare....

Of all the comments I agrtee with - the one that struck the sweetest cord was about the fact that to make a successful, enduring game, there must be something that we aspire to......

I might start selling krayt enhanced melons

Apparently I dissagree with the majority of WS's. I think the krayt boom is a great idea. part of that may have to do with me being a custom order only smith. I never did any mass crafting and I don't ever intend to, so this has little impact on me since I never made runs of weapons and I don't stock a normal vendor.

However I'd like to address the point about krayt tissues being a dime a dozen. I agree base tissues are a dime a dozen and everyone could have a base krayt weapon, however high end tissues are still fairly rare(though getting better). If you want a truely excpetional weapon it's no longer going to consist of 30/-.3 tissues, but instead will be a weapon made with 100+max/-.7 tissues or something like that. While high damage or fast tissues are becoming more common we still are not seeing a flooded market of these, the only tissues that are flooding the market currently are the base tissues or near base. And frankly they were cheap to begin with. I Have known people that gave away or deleted base tissues for some time now.

As for being assembly monkeys, well... if that's all you'd like to be then that's up to you. I do custom orders only and pride myself on my knowledge of weapons, both how to craft them and what makes them effective. I have played the majority of the fighting professions at this point and have a very in depth understanding of what makes a good weapon. If you simply slap all the components in and craft then that's purely up to you, and in that case you would only be an assembly monkey. However I experiment and play with the components to make them viable for different situations. For example many people use the 20irm, 0/0/0 ham scopes. These scopes clearly have their uses, but I also carry some +43irm, 15/15/15 ham scopes that I prefer to use in most of my weapons, knowing the difference it makes. Most people also use 40/40, .3speed,27/27/27 ham stocks. And I do carry stocks similar to that, however I also experimented on stocks that are 40/40, .6, 17/17/17 hams as well that are perfect for most rifles since speed makes very little difference to most rifleman, but effectively dropping hams down nearly 10pts. It's little things like this that will set apart the assembly monkey's and the true weaponsmiths who actually have an understanding of the weapons they create.

As a note... I think the devs have shown an interest in reducing the mass crafting and having people hand craft most items. I think this is a step towards that goal, if you need at least base krayt tissues in order to makecompetative products that means your weapons will have to be hand crafted, effectively removing the mass crafters as the main market and making room for alot more weaponsmiths(though smaller in scale) and effectively distributing the wealth of the community to many more people than it currently goes to. I think the same will apply to armorsmiths when hams become much more important. Who's going to want to by mass crafted armor when you could get a suit made that uses NS layers or other looted components that effectively drop the overall suit hams by 100-200 points, right now it's not a huge issue but once encumbrances make a noticeable difference it will become much more common to have custom crafted suits.

This is just my opinion, but I think the loot drops are related to the upcoming Combat Nerf. It seems that most of the high end weapons will change drastically, as will the uber professions that use them. So, SOE makes the uber weapons common and cheap. That way, people don't toally freak when the weapons that they paid millions for are oboslete. It is a conspiracy theory I know, but SOE has a way of manipulating the player base.

As a former crytal hunter, I'm not happy about the loot drops either.

Well a customer sent me a tell asking me if I'd want to buy some krayt tissue. I said it depends on how much because I knew the spawn was up this patch. He said if I didn't want to he'd just end up deleting them, I asked if they were base, and he said no. So I head out there and with him and another person we lood 17 tissue and 2 pearls. that was about 90mins
